It's where he seems to have played so far, as far as I can see.
He's more of a deep lying box to box player. He can help defend yeah, but he likes to push forward far more then Morgan. He will be ok for lesser teams playing dm, but against the bigger teams he will push far too forward.

Seems a good deal - reminds me of when we signed dear Corkie from Chelsea and he was such a good buy (was sorry to see him go) but he has more physicality about him - more in the 'Morgan-mould' DM we needed to support Victor. Sammie Lee also has someone else to practice his scouse-spanish on! :emoticon-0100-smile

According to Sky

'He made 11 Premier League starts in his first season at Stamford Bridge but just four during the 2012-13 season, and he joined Valencia for the 2013-14 season where he made 17 appearances.
Romeu spent last term on loan at Stuttgart where he played 27 times and was an important part of the first team.
Romeu is a former Spain U23 that represented every level of his country's international set up from U17 until that level.'

Not a great deal of first team games under his belt to suggest he'll be a starter/straight Morgan replacement. But I remember his Chelsea games well, and at a fee of around £4-5m, it's low risk and also promising. The right age for some Koeching, and will surely demonstrate hunger to make it as a regular starter. With Cork and Bertrand turning out as they did, I'll always welcome a Chelsea reject with open arms.

Pretty irrelevant really.

Based on Bertrand's loan at Villa, if you could've picked any Premier League left-back that season - he would've been low on the list.

I'm not trying to establish some definitive truth about the player. Ranking is intended for me to see whether we're getting one of the better rated performers on his position in the league, or someone who we think has the right attributes that we can nurture, despite struggling for his club, not unlike Bertrand.
