With the arrival of the DM that are often played in pairs, we are witnessing the demise of the midfield maestro of the old school re Alan Ball, Jimmy Melia and Paul Scholes. The only two that I can think of in the PL of the old type are Fabregas and Silva!

 

The strength in depth is getting quite deep now.

In case nobody else has posted it, here's what the lad himself had to say:

Well yes maybe! But Chelsea rejects are coming from a vastly superior team these days, and at a younger age, thankfully.
