I always expect that our signings from abroad will show they full potential in the second season with us, and so far that was the case with most of our signing. So no pressure for Boufal, Hojbjerg ecc, I expect them to deliver next season, everything they do this season is just a bonus. As for the players who already had their second season and haven't showed much, like Clasie, they should be moved on.

I personally think Clasie has done well this season.

Good post this.

Clasie has improved but I still have my doubts as to him being good enough. I think we should sell him in the summer and bring in an attack minded CM.

Players like Cedric are a perfect example of what you talk about. He had a mixed first season and did make a fair few mistakes. But this season he has improved dramatically. Had some absolutely brilliant games for us and is all round more consistent. Let's hope Höjbjerg and Boufal follow suit!

Quite right. But unfortunately, not all our fans are that patient.

Good to see this finally, mercifully over. Curious how we deploy him, but he'll improve our attack.

To the tune of the Dean Martin classic, Volare (Arsenal used to sing it for Viera).
Manolo oh oh
Manolo oh oh oh oh
He came from Napoli
to play at St Mary's

Repeat til throat is sore...

I think Clasie will come on fine. The squad has to be strong right down to the last player, so he's required. I have few worries about Boufal and Höjbjerg was actually better when he first arrived, so I suspect he's lost form for a proper reason and will come good.
