We've admitted we're in talks with him so its not pie in the sky! If there was a Saint Cristiano thread then fair enough but this one's got substance. We know we were after Wanyama, Banega and Leandro so now Wanyama is wrapped up then I reckon Leandro will be the next focus!

Inter's chairman today was talking about the price being at least 25mill Euros so I seriously doubt you did. He's been trying to create a bidding war to bump up the price for ages so I think it's a slim chance of him accepting an offer without shouting from the rooftops how much you were prepared to pay in order to get more bids in. The likelihood is you've signalled an intention to bid high and been given permission to speak to Damiao and his agent. We even agreed terms with the player in January before the deal collapsed when their chairman started arsing around again.

Don't worry, he was joking - a Mirror journalist (Alan Nixon) seems to like writing stories about how we've had a bid accepted but the deal isn't going through because Everton are interested. Happened with Jay Rodriguez and a few days ago with Big Vic.

It does seem like Spurs have been linked with Damiao for the past five windows though!
