We cant have a Saint X thread for everyone! I think the deal has to look likely to warrant one!

We've admitted we're in talks with him so its not pie in the sky! If there was a Saint Cristiano thread then fair enough but this one's got substance. We know we were after Wanyama, Banega and Leandro so now Wanyama is wrapped up then I reckon Leandro will be the next focus!

I think everyone has got a little over-excited about signing big Vic...

This thread reminds me of giving too much sugar to a small child

Development: we have had a bid accepted, but the player fancies a move to Everton.

Inter's chairman today was talking about the price being at least 25mill Euros so I seriously doubt you did. He's been trying to create a bidding war to bump up the price for ages so I think it's a slim chance of him accepting an offer without shouting from the rooftops how much you were prepared to pay in order to get more bids in. The likelihood is you've signalled an intention to bid high and been given permission to speak to Damiao and his agent. We even agreed terms with the player in January before the deal collapsed when their chairman started arsing around again.

Don't worry, he was joking - a Mirror journalist (Alan Nixon) seems to like writing stories about how we've had a bid accepted but the deal isn't going through because Everton are interested. Happened with Jay Rodriguez and a few days ago with Big Vic.

It does seem like Spurs have been linked with Damiao for the past five windows though!

Napoli is on Leandro Damiao, the agreement with the entourage is reached. Still missing the one with the Internacional de Porto Alegre, who meanwhile has initiated contacts with the new president of the Southampton Nicola Cortese.

Cortese has shelved the idea Osvaldo after the hesitation of the player, Damiao is a concrete idea and there could be a ' major offensive in the coming days.

How long does it take until you're not considered new to a job?

This is more positive and gives a glimmer of hope to our Saint - x winning ratio.

Personally think Leandro will stay put to not mess with his World Cup prospects

Cheers DTLW, let's hope there's some substance to the 2nd part of it! From what I've seen of him I think he'd take to the Premier League really well
