His scoring record for Brazil is crap - 3 in 19 if I remember correctly, while Osvaldo has 3 in 8 for Italy.Osvaldo is probably more preferable. He has a more consistent scoring record, and has scored goals in La Liga and Serie A.
Damiao, well he's younger, has played and scored for Brazil - but is unproven in domestic competitions outside of Brazil.
