Agreed! Christ we're not exactly known for splashing the cash & have always been rather thrifty with purchase price & wages. I'm sure Les & co have done their homework & are fairly confident of a performance related return with probably also a resale value.

Like you say £7m is peanuts now really.
I mean, ffs if their takeover goes through without a hitch then I wouldn't be suprised if the blue few spent around £5m on a player this Summer
They could probably get Cuco Martina for that.
I still think we'd need two new CBs after this one - if Van Dijk goes. Yoshida played well the second half of last season but I think we should be aiming for a better starting centre back.
Important decision coming up for Yoshi...is it in his interests to sign a contract extension if offered one. I expect he will be watching this window with interest.
