For the record, I’d never heard of him and those that had told me he was a useless lump.
I was not aware of him either FLT. He did however play regularly and score consistently: those stats were impressive; irrespective of the league in the previous 2 seasons.

Pelle was also from a League with the same quality as the lower end of the Championship. Many people were sceptical of him.
I was unsure too: great record as l mentioned; l looked at his goals on youtube and there was alot of tap-ins from inside the six yard box. So was not convinced; the only plus point was the regularity of scoring and his getting into the right place at the right time for all those tap-ins. Natural finisher.

Q: Why wouldn't you offer big money to Arsenal to get Olivier Giroud A: because the board has no intention of going large so to speak. My view is it would solve our problems and galvanise the support.

Its a two way street, we could make a deal with Arsenal and considering his age he is a 20 million player, but the player has to want to come here to be involved in a relegation fight and take a 40% pay cut

True but I would look at a performance deal. It's an options appraisal - cot of hiring Giroud v cost of relegation (assume 5 year stay in EFL)

It would be a fantastic signing, just saying a player has to want to join another team, and apart from being able to promise first team football, there are not too many pluses for him to come here

Giroud has no reason to join a team that is on its worse run in 13 years: with relegation hanging over it, run by a board with no ambition and being managed by a someone out of his depth. What might be good for us at this time might not so appealing for Giroud. :emoticon-0106-cryin

The French have a reputation for never using one word where twelve will do. Are you of French extraction?

This post could simply have read "Giroud has no reason to join a team that is ****"

(OK, I'll allow "****ing ****")

There, much simpler :1980_boogie_down:

Not French; just polite! :emoticon-0105-wink:

Whereas if we were pottering along in 8th in a word cup year, he might well have come along. The whole situation is so frustrating.
