And the internet and forums in general don't work the way you want them to. Looks like neither of us will ever truly be happy.

Except, we will be once the moderators (who, I suppose, are waiting on the admins) sort out the mess in the best compromise possible. So just hold on until then, yeah?
 
I'm not going to argue with any of you, despite Billy's best efforts to wind me up, but consider this: the off-topic conversation being complained of took up one page of this thread. The complaints have since taken up the best of two pages. You could easily just ask for the latest and someone would happily explain it to you.

What sounds better - my suggestion, or pages and pages of bitching?
 
And a post that's actually on topic (sort of) - surely the report of Cortese holding off until Friday to announce all of our signings can't be true? And if it isn't true - what actually is the hold-up on the Ramirez deal?

It could be something to do with Bologna wanting to wait until their new signings arrive before completing the deal?

In fairness, that seems to be one of the sticking points, that multiple OT threads is not allowed/being argued against.

I rarely post anymore cos I can't really be arsed but FFS some people need to lighten up.

This thread has been OT for ages, I'd say this is the most OT thread of the lot! Some of it has been quite funny IMHO. What's the point of stirring things up every time it strays? Get a grip - when he signs, I'm sure there will be 10 more threads started anyway. Stirring it up just adds to the amount of trawling anyway (the last two pages have been generated because of someone complaining again!)

Basically this thread is OT with a little bit of Gaston thrown in. Not the end of the world really, is it? In fact when he signs, the mods should just put OT in front of the title and there you have it, the OT thread.

And BTW, Noel is God :azn:

Yeah, that's how I understand it. Bit like trying to move house into a new one you've bought, you have to wait until the occupants can move into theirs etc etc. Really rather boring, but as long as it happens.......

Joe, I can assure you I am not trying to argue with anyone, nor wind you up - why would I? Not sure why you would think this, but that is your opinion.

I understand the complaining has provoked a reaction and taken up space - is this so different to what you guys were doing? Yet it is seemingly wrong for me to do this and ok for you guys to do it.

Slightly confused, but Madrid / Barca is on so im gonna concentrate on this for a while.

Let's maybe leave it at that, hey.
 
I don't mind how many threads get started in a day because if they are worth reading and commenting on, they will be around for a while.
It doesn't bother me that people stray of topic and have a bit of banter because some people spend a lot of time on here and get to know people better.
What really makes my blood boil is people who seem for some deluded reason think they are better than other people who have a different view and have to try and belittle them because they feel they can.
I would sit and argue a point with anyone face to face but some people like to hide behind key boards and act big. But at the end of the day we have so many fans on our site now days that their will always be friction at times , so allowing the mods to do their job is very important. If people don't like their judgments, then they should find another forum.
 
I really hope the media department leak that the deal has broken down to call the suicide squad into action, before announcing it at 22.59 on Friday because it'd been done all along. That'd make me laugh.
 
Anyway, for people wanting us to be on-topic.

Here is a summary. We've not heard anything new. I was told that we were confident on getting Gaston all signed up by the end of today, but it appears that won't happen for now. Hold your horses and get off them and let us talk now.
