But there would be no one on here to announce the transfer to... and half of us would be on our way to Mexico!

I'm worried about the amount of people I've convinced to go on this Mexico trip. It's gonna be Jonestown all over again.

About 150 pages ago it was confirmed that many of us would go to Mexico... 'experience' the local culture on the Mexico - US border and then make a run for the border if Ramirez doesn't sign... person who gets the furthest wins.

We're gonna get really hammered on tequila, dress up in big sombreros/typical racially offensive stereotypical Mexican outfits, and all sprint across the Mexico/US border and see who gets the furthest before being shot down. Joe's idea.

I hope that they are all one way tickets.

Please let me have a list of all those going so far as there are a number of us who would be only to happy to buy tickets for those not on the list that we really think should be.

I imagine he would be that old person in a wheelchair that always holds up the plane leaving while hurling expletives at the airline staff helping with a bag of piss at his side... :emoticon-0105-wink:

I don't see the point in off-topic threads unless they are something which is in the news. Most the off-topic stuff on this thread comes about when there is no new news and comments spiral/get elaborated on. If there was news to be discussed, it would be being discussed.

Well I hoped at least. In fairness to you Dan, when I first joined the board I got a fair measure when he accused me of "having no idea what real physical hard work was" because I "spent my time in a library revising" off the back of a comment I had made. The fact that I've built houses in appalling conditions in both the Philippines and Fiji (that's real physical work) and the last time I was in a library revising was when I did my degree 20 years ago never seemed to be a factor as he'd decided that clearly I MUST be 18 or something. Well, let's just say perhaps I was expecting too much. But you live and learn I guess....

PS - am not taking sides by recounting that by the way, just saying that whether you're 18 or 80, you can still act like a pillock. Tends to share itself out equally.

With age comes skepticism and an unearned sense of superiority. Good job building houses in the Philippines and Fiji. That must have been some experience.

I must say it did frustrate me because I'd made a perfectly reasonable comment, but was shouted down with presumption. Never a great building block.

Yes, it was a phenomenal experience, thank you. Culturally, morally, spiritually and physically uplifting!

Yeah I have no hesitation believing that. Well done on building houses in the Philippines and Fiji by the way, I'm sure it was a great experience! I love the idea of stuff like that, but sadly I'm far too lazy, so good on you. But still, having a degree you must still have no idea about real hard physical work (as if that makes a difference, anyway).
