Oh no....not again...

In fairness to Billy Vegas he came to a forum that is mean to be dedicated to discussion about Saints related news and in particular this thread dedicated to news about the potential signing of Gaston Ramirez.

To be honest, the swerving on to discussions about Oasis and the Gallagher brothers is what frustrates me too, more than off topic threads, because you have to wade through loads of one line bored chat about nothing to do with the topic at hand.

Now we get on fine Dan. Please let's keep it that way! What Billy is saying is perfectly reasonable.

Start an Oasis/Beady Eye thread and chat about it there, not here. If you do, I promise to tell you all about my night out with Liam.

How is this unfair - if people used the dedicated threads for this stuff this discussion would ever have taken place.

I do exepct certain people to follow, yes - as has historically happened - and I havent suggested they should not comment - as we are constantly reminded - this is a forum for people to express views.

PS - I realise there's no actual news right now, but the problem is, if the page refreshes, somebody waiting for news thinks that there might be and it's pretty frustrating to find that it's actually just a random discussion about Oasis.....

I'm just saying, everyone thinks the "other places for it" discussion only goes one way. It doesn't. There are certainly other, better places for football news.

i take umbridge to trying to look for news about a specific topic that is then not dicussing the original topic - yes.

How is this not reasonable when you have dedicated places to discuss other things.

No one is saying dont discuss them - just not on threads that are not dedicted to it.

But as I understand it, the majority would rather keep topical threads on topic and then have other OT threads (sticky or not) for OT discussion. That's perfectly reasonable and.....sensible.

So, are you suggesting I am miserable.

It is not reasonable for you to say this Dan, I happen to check the site maybe once or twice a day, so some of us may not be as uptodate with info as you and others on here. Hence why I look up specific threads to find the said news - not that I cant be bothered.


So, I dont believe it was necessary to imply I am miserable for my views on the constant flounding of forum manners, of which I do not believe you have.
