That kind of seems to be a generalisation banded about by people who don't really understand Twitter or aren't on it (PS - I'm not having a go here, just making a point) - if it's used properly, Twitter is an incredibly invaluable tool for my business in terms of networking etc and as a communicative forum it's exceptional. Of course there are twats on it, like there are twats in any forum, website, business etc. You shouldn't really put it in such a generalised bracket though. Keeping on topic - favourite bit of the Gaston saga as has been said previously will be the absolute confirmation post. The first time I read "it's now on the official site"
My only worry about signing players like this is that if we do indeed get relegated we will be in real ****!
No we won't. He's taking home what? £38k p/w? We'll have a 22 year old Uruguayan international on what for big clubs is quite small wages really.
Evening chaps another newbie! This thread so addictive got blocked as guest so had to sign in to get the latest news! Still not signed then?
Twitter is an easy way for idiots to get noticed, but it's not only an easy way for idiots to get noticed. It all comes down to who you follow - I do my best not to follow any idiots and I don't use the #SaintsFC hashtag so I encounter very few on there. Best way to go. But yeah the official conformation post will be a pretty rewarding one. As far as some people are concerned, that's already come...
Yeah, I mean, having a really good player that will be in demand around Europe would really put us in the **** if he wanted to leave.

Financially you mean? Well no, we won't - part of what NC has done here that's clever is sign young players under 25 who will all have significant resale value should we be in such a position....if we are financially able to keep hold of them, you'd hope we'd go straight back up. There's a new TV deal being put in place after this season which is bringing in significantly more money into the premiership (like they need it), so actually this season would be a really, really bad one to be relegated in. It's worth the risk.
