That kind of seems to be a generalisation banded about by people who don't really understand Twitter or aren't on it (PS - I'm not having a go here, just making a point) - if it's used properly, Twitter is an incredibly invaluable tool for my business in terms of networking etc and as a communicative forum it's exceptional. Of course there are twats on it, like there are twats in any forum, website, business etc. You shouldn't really put it in such a generalised bracket though.
Keeping on topic - favourite bit of the Gaston saga as has been said previously will be the absolute confirmation post. The first time I read "it's now on the official site"

Twitter is an easy way for idiots to get noticed, but it's not only an easy way for idiots to get noticed. It all comes down to who you follow - I do my best not to follow any idiots and I don't use the #SaintsFC hashtag so I encounter very few on there. Best way to go.
But yeah the official conformation post will be a pretty rewarding one. As far as some people are concerned, that's already come...

No we won't. Unlike QPR's signings, this guy has a resale value. We'll get the money back easily.
Financially you mean? Well no, we won't - part of what NC has done here that's clever is sign young players under 25 who will all have significant resale value should we be in such a position....if we are financially able to keep hold of them, you'd hope we'd go straight back up. There's a new TV deal being put in place after this season which is bringing in significantly more money into the premiership (like they need it), so actually this season would be a really, really bad one to be relegated in. It's worth the risk.
