Did Osvaldo have problems at Espanyol? Don't think so. The fans loved him and he worked well with Poch. Poch gave him that chance, he won't have forgotten that.

Jesus reading this thread you would think he was a satanic, baby murderer.
We need less articles about Spurs' interest! I'm still not seeing the logic in it![]()
Another thing people are forgetting is the club's recent record in "rehabilitating" wayward characters. I only need mention one name: Jason Puncheon. But for good people-management on the part of Nigel Adkins and, especially, Nicola Cortese, that could have ended very differently. Instead, he put in a number of good shifts last season and seems to be a lot more settled these days. I have complete trust in our club's ability to first of all weigh up all the pros and cons about a personality like Osvaldo, make the right decision from the club's point of view, and integrate him into the squad, having absorbed the Southampton ethos.
I only believe papers that tell me what I want to hear. Not saying Spurs couldn't sign him, but a bit fast to announce it today if they've only just joined the race. Actually race is the wrong word...siege is nearer the mark![]()
Man, it's not like we're signing a Frank Worthington. He was a good for nothing, boozing, rocker, womanising, too old striker ..... and we had our best season ever!
I've just been watching Sky Sport 24 (Italy's version of SSN) and what has been posted above was reported live by one of their guys from Roma's training ground. There is interest from Spurs, but nowhere near as strong as Saints and Pochettino has been in contact with Osvaldo in the last few hours attempting to convince him to come here. Osvaldo is still in Rome, and trained this morning.
