I would expect to see NP driving rather than being a camp backseat passenger in the vehicle in your .gif.
1. Everyone should stand at a football match. 2. Why would anyone be bothered about being able to see the pitch? You should go to support your team not spectate/watch the game. Why do so many 'fans' in this country actually seem to care about seeing the pitch? You have to despair.
So you were just being stupid, not ironic? Doesn't surprise me, you often make yourself look a tit. I gave you the benefit of the doubt this time, sure taught me a lesson.
Agree with you about the back rows and the view. However look at any game and nearly ever one has people stood up. They only enforce it with fans who allow themselves to be pushed about. How many times have we heard about our fans being forced to sit down then the next time that ground is shown all the away fans are stood up? A mixture of us being seen as a soft touch for the inadequates to throw their weight about with and us having too many tourists at away games. Similar thing in reverse at KC. Unlike other grounds they let away fans do what they want but pick on a young kid stood up on the back row obstructing no one.
Oh dear. You are the one looking a tit. Still, sitting or standing doesn't matter when you are sat in front of a computer whilst the game is on.
The Hillborough Supporters club are against the idea. According to Talk ****e http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...bandonment-of-plans-for-terrace-standing.html
I left Hull aged 8. I certainly do not have a 'Hull' attitude! So, as the Castrated Coffin was unable to answer the question - how would the ticket plan be created? I've seen 1.8 standing spaces per 'seat' space - how would this work? The reason given for safe standing is that a fan is allocated a space in the same way as though it was a seat so a pass holder would in effect have the same space each week. If J1 is the seat then how does the 1.8 person per space get allocated? Body space per seat currently means you are sat shoulder to shoulder with the next person. Where does the extra space come from? Is it a front and back space so you would get allocated J1F or J1B? I genuinely don't know how it would work from a seating plan perspective By the way, I'm all in favour of the initiative
I concur, I used to go to watch Aberdeen play Celtic and Rangers, and the fans never watch the game, they just stood and chanted abuse at each other for 90 minutes, so no point seeing the pitch, because they hadn't a clue what was going on.
Celtic have now confirmed that they will be installing safe standing this year... http://www.eveningtelegraph.co.uk/sport/other-sport/lawwell-only-interested-in-value-1.210361
Have a look at the many grounds in Germany where it works. That is the Germany with the largest average crowds of any league. It works there so why would it be a problem here? Other than the usual negative, can't do attitude in this country. As I said, have a look at the German ones there are plenty of examples online.
Why anyone would want to stand up for two hours or so is beyond me. Past the age of twenty one, I hated standing up at football. There, I said it.
Bristol City are also now installing safe standing(even though they can't use it yet)... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26141427
I AM THE ONLY PERSON IN THIS WORLD WHO HAS NOT ANY FRIENDS AT ALL AND I NEVER MEET PEOPLE MY OWN AGE AND thats how i like it ! ..... just saying like
Hardly going backwards though is it? loads of individual rows designed for one person to stand comfortably, even if a load of people squeezed themselves into one row there wouldn't be enough to crush anyone. Before Hillsborough happened Liverpool fans loved and were famous for their 'surges' which happened because 'terraces' were anything from 10 to 20 steps back before a crash barrier stopped the surge. If the Hillsborough victims families want to sit then they can as the standing areas of grounds would in most cases be a third of the total capacity.
God knows what some of our stewards would make of it. Everyone's stood where we are. A bloke a few rows in front of me was leant on the back of his seat and the steward came and had a word about him doing that. "So you're ordering me to stand up?" was the obvious starter for ten. The steward just dug himself in deeper and deeper trying to make his "point" and eventually just slunk off.
