I echo jck's thoughts.

Please let Ash, his wife and family know they are very high in our thoughts at such a difficult time.

Once he knows he has all the guys from the Swans board plus so many others hoping and praying for his recovery I'm sure that will help him pull through.

Hi everyone.

Your probably expecting Ashley to be writing this, but sadly, he isn't.

I'm not an internet person and the only reason i am on here is because it was his request.

Ashley tried to take his own life on Saturday night, and in a letter he left his wife, he asked if we could tell the people on this site. I'm not sure if I'm meant to put it everywhere, but the Swansea forum was under his favourites, and as a Swansea fan i guess you would be the only ones he talked to.
He is in a coma and the doctors are unsure ether he will come around as
This isn't my thing to be writing on a forum but he asked, and as a friend i must oblige.

Steve.

Very sad news indeed, I hope you'll be able to pass on the message that everybody on not606 is wishing him well and hoping he'll be able to pick up the pieces again. Maybe you could tell his wife that we're behind her too at this terrible moment.

What an awful thing to have happened. Cardiff City fans and football supporters everywhere will hope things turn out alright.

I've just heard this sad news.
I'm not a regular visitor on here but I've had a few decent PM conversations with Ash on the Cardiff board.

Thoughts are with him and his family at this time. Hope he can pull through this.

No family deserves the pain yours has faced lately Ash

You were totally out of character on cup final day so I guess we all saw the strain but put it down to other emotions,

Please beat this first, and hopefully one day you can take care of all the other painful issues one by one and start all over

We are all together on this one Ash .....Good Luck Pal <ok>

I'm a total stranger but as a fellow football fan and member of 606 I am so sorry to hear this devastating news, Good luck to him, his family and friends from a Bristol City Fan....

+1 from another city fan. Really hope he has a speedy recovery and pulls through <ok>

Some things are far bigger than football.

As a football fan, message board user and human being, my thoughts are with all concerned. From DMD, Hull City.

Soz cant get on your board to send message so ......
GET WELL CHICO WE ARE ALL FOOTBALL SUPPORTERS WHEREVER WE ARE FROM ..........

JH

The above is a message relayed from John Hughs from the Cardiff board

Really sad news, thoughts and good wishes go out to his family and friends at this dreadful time.

Musty, when you wake up out there in Oz can you make this a sticky please. It would be nice to be at the top and for Ash and his family to see the support he's getting from all these fans of other clubs as well as our own.

I've just logged on to find this awful news, and am quite stunned by it.

My thoughts are with my/our Swansea City friend.

It kind of puts things in perspective. He must have been in a very dark place. Lets all hope he pulls through

Message to Chico!
What's going on fella? Life is for living to the max and you have a long long way to go yet old son. Your wife, family and friends need you Ash. People care about you and you need to talk to them. I've implied to you before everything on here is worth didlly squat and to let it go over your head. This comment and others throughout this thread are different and prove in the face of adversity we all pull together. Come back when you are up to it fella. Put those closest to you first. <ok>

I hope he gets the chance to read all these truly sincere messages.

Best wishes for a full recovery.
