One thing that always sticks in my mind when Kyril bought shares in Sunderland is when he made negative comments about the previous regime that included Juan Sartori. Now he's aligning himself with Sartori and distancing himself from CM and SD. He was also involved in giving the impression it was a majority share holding he bought but at least he apologised for that. It's all a bit of a mess.

It's definitely a mess. even people that fully back KLD (like I do) should be able to admit that the situation where he owns 41% of the club but wants complete control is not an ideal situation, even if it makes sense for him, and even if we are able to continue progressing.

What's important though is that progression. If there's no resolution to all this and we are in the bottom 6 or so come October, all hell will be on, unfortunately.

Didn't someone speculate that Sartori run for president or whatever prevented him from having ownership with voting rights in another country so he handed the voting rights over to KLD?

I also look on RTG, checked before and I joined 2006!! I'm not a massive poster and I checked my stats but in 16 years I've only averaged 6 posts a month. I like to read the posts and didn't really enjoy all the bitchiness and cliques, I joined here when a lot more posters likes of smug/prehab came here as like most fans appreciate all info we get passed.

Obviously when we had the first main bout of COVID, I got my result December 24th which pretty much was a kick in the balls as meant we were all stuck home and couldn't go shopping and we had pretty much no food in, certainly not for the Xmas as wife and bairns were going to her dad's and I was due at work , I had mentioned on here out of frustration and within minutes the amount of offers and personal messages I had offering to go shopping for me from complete strangers was amazing, so yeah it's totally like friends on here.
I joined when it was FTM executive club, so been on a while. Drifted away when I came over here, can’t be arsed to even lurk now and I pretty much did that for 20 years over there. Much better here, it’s been getting worse for years over there with plenty of crap being served up daily. I even feel like contributing here which I rarely did over there due to its inherent nature. RTG is eating itself alive, such a shame.

For all we know KLD has an agreement in place with Sartori to buy his shares if ever he wants out. If so he wouldn't even consider purchasing tweedledumb and dumbers shares unless the price was what he wanted

How much did Sartori pay for his 20%

For whatever reason I get to talk to various people who know a lot more, about the club, than I do. I try to sort the wheat from the chaff, before I post, and not to get too excited or biased. Sometimes I'm told contradictory things about the same subject which complicates things ...

... so there's my disclaimer, here's what I currently think.

I said a few weeks ago that KLD is the most likely buyer of Donald's shares. Done in a few days, no due ligence or EFL checks ... easy.

That leaves Methven absolutely stranded. He's independent of Donald who can sell his shares to whomsoever he chooses ... obviously based on the EFL and a potential veto from KLD. Methven could end up with shares that are of no great importance or interest to anyone.

I'd guess that Methven, who seems to guide Donald to an extent, has been inviting people to matches and making sure the likes of Tom White are aware. He'll have done this knowing it will not only 'leak out' but push KLD's buttons.

As he'll have expected Methven will see supporters, on social media, demanding to know why KLD doesn't just buy the shares. While that might appease the fans, from KLD's view that means caving in to the pressure from those two and accepting whatever idiotic price they've come up with. If people chose to believe he's not committed to the club, or would have to ask his mam for an advance on his allowance, that's up to them ... however it makes them look a little naive imo.

The fact is KLD doesn't need the shares and won't be played by people he openly insulted when he bought a controlling interest in the club. I've no doubt that none of this nonsense will impact on the plans he has for next season. He's put serious people around him, and on the board, who aren't the kind to be used as pawns in a daft game.

Tom White is the wrong person, to be commenting, but he's been put in his place by KLD. Roker Report puzzle me though, at times you'd swear they're run by Mags but are, most likely, just as naive as any other supporters. That includes me who hears gossip I like and believes it.

I'm sure there's a credible buyer, aligned with KLD and Sartori, but they're not going to be pressured into buying by the likes of Methven who's in the worst position of anyone. The supporters, myself included, want Donald and the other stain on the club out ASAP. But there's no rush for KLD, he can just ignore them and whichever other circus acts they invite to games.

I've allowed myself to become whipped up with all this and it's time to stop, take a break and wait for the transfer window ...

... exactly what I'd expect KLD, Neil and the club to be doing.
The least best outcome is Methvan being left on his own and having to try to fund stuff and having his shares slowly diluted in a cut-by-cut slow painful death :)

I’m struggling to see what Tom White has done wrong? He’s reporting info from sources, one of which will be Dave Jones and because we don’t like the news he is getting pelters. I don’t trust any of them and I include KLD and JS in this, it’s a mess. From everyone feeling really optimistic a couple of weeks ago to now wondering what the hell is going on. Just my opinion like

Back to beaches for a second....
@Smug in Boots
Brighouse Bay beach is canny, just past Borgue if travelling from Newton Stewart Another canny one is at Carrick, which is just before Borgue...small and quite secluded, you can wade over to the small island opposite.
Kippford and Rockcliff are both nice as well, both South of Castle Douglas and Dalbeattie.
Well worth a visit.

In my opinion Tom should of done some digging before he broke it, and if he has done the digging it’s frightening
