Maybe tonight was one last hurrah from the Madrox era before they hand over the keys? Like just one last pie in our faces before the takeover :emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

If anything sums up the end of Donald’s era was tonight’s performance, the inept negotiation with a good quality division one keeper and the subsequent **** state of choices in goal.

I agree with most of that. One thing I will say is that (and I say nowt in favour of Donald normally) I don't think McLaughlan was ever going to stay . He was apparently asking for crazy money for this division. Him going was fair enough bearing that in mind, the issue was the continued **** recruitment

Can we still get free agent players in even tho the window has closed? If so and this FFP is scrapped why can't we sign a goalkeeper and a striker?

I have no idea if Johnson is the right man for the job, but if he's the new owners choice, he needs to back him to the hilt in the summer. This lot have proven under 3 managers they don't have what it takes and have been fortunate there were no fans for the last 12 months of their efforts. I genuinely won't be sad to see the back of any of them, a clean slate and the managers own players so he has nowhere to hide if things don't go well.

We can. We've signed a striker, he just hasn't played yet. Totally agree on the keeper front though.

I’m just not sure we negotiated early enough or were organised enough for the imminent rejection, similar to the Maja situation. Cost saving, lack of focus and indecision have been our ‘usp’ in the transfer market.

Serious question marks over recruitment in January mind, that left back is proving to be the wrong move for both parties, Winchester has flattered to deceive to say the least, haven’t seen Stewart yet but for a the data talk in the podcast... might be being a bit harsh cos it’s still really fresh idk
We were told the new signings would hit the ground running, what a joke.
It was known the Scottish lad had a hammy problem, their manager mentioned it, when will he be fit ?
ONLY THING HE HIT STRAIGHT AWAY WAS THE TREATMENT ROOM
LJ SHOULD HAVE KNOWN WE NEED A KEEPER, SHOULD HAVE BEEN BUSTING A GUT TO GET ONE

I would say its pretty soon as he has never mentioned any contact before and also why would KLD be at the match??

I don’t disagree mate. Could be that KLD visited EFL in person today. If football counts as elite sporting bubble he can fly in and out on his chopper as much as he wants

Maybe with the salary cap we were hindered and it was a choice between attacker's and a keeper. Maybe he thought we could get by with Burge etc
