If i was to buy Sunderland, I'd rather buy them now than 3 year ago when short sold up.
We had a huge income stream then with a couple years parachute payments. We can't even get fans in the ground now. We also had a bunch of talented young player coming through which sadly these charlatans have flogged off.

Despite their narrative, we are in a significantly worse position now than when Short sold us.

They did a great job of cutting the eye-watering costs.

Then a **** job of relaying the foundations.

100% this!

Aye, they should be congratulated. They even made the crockery and cutlery redundant, replacing it with cardboard boxes and wooden forks, for fans that had paid more for a tad more luxury.
Nothing to do with congratulations. My point is that if rather buy a club at the bare bones and build myself rather than inheriting a load of liability

Well after the takeover the income stream will take care of itself.
Plus the new people coming in have a clean sheet of paper to work from. The roots of recovery are already taking place
Nobody on large wage contracts.
The fans at their lowest
The U23's look like they may have a few players who can step up and are being shown the pathway

Although it is all doom and gloom we certainly have a lot to look forward too
We have been patient for years and have had many a false dawn (62 years in my case)

Once the announcement is made it will be the biggest uplift any of us can imagine

I never thought it would happen but I have actually just reached a point now where I have almost just given up hope of any takeover and have got bored and lost interest in the whole thing. Was checking on here every 30 minutes at one point, only been on a couple of times this week. Weeks have become months and we are almost into jan . There has to come a point if we haven’t reached it already when Donald decides he might as well hang around a few more month to see what happens at the end of the season, especially if the french lad has moved the goalposts and decided he wants bigger share
