I am very, very happy with Lee Johnson. I have complete trust in him to turn us around. I think it’s going to be a long process and fear that the damage has already been done for this season, but I’m on board.

Maybe, but one of the reasons teams are in this league is their consistency. We just need to be a bit more consistent than them above us and we should be ok.

100% behind Johnson, really impressed with his interviews and demonstration of clear plans moving forward. I think we can all agree there won't be too far he can take these players though but might only take one or two bits of shrewd business in January to make a big difference. I think if this season is going to be saved the new recruitment team have there work cut out, never mind Johnson

What’s peoples thoughts about the rumours that JS and CM are in Uruguay looking to buy a club to link up with us, and ‘ another one in Europe ‘ at some point?

Bob made a cryptic post about them being away then some other poster come in and said the above. Bob then replied asking who told him the info suggesting that it could be true/similar to what he knows.
I’m sure L'equipe reported that KLD and JS wanted to buy a Uruguayan team and a French team

I

I don’t think it’s a shock sartori has wanted to do that since he come, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a french club in that connection
Thinking about possible share distribution it Will be very interesting to see if SARTORI and KLD set up a company between them as a vehicle to not just buy into Sunderland but to also buy into other clubs

Pretty sure it said Methven was also involved.
Doesn’t surprise me.

Donald is out of the picture I think, his fallout with charlie was fairly well known and I think once we get promoted he will get his payday and be gone. The potential behind JS and KLD with their family connections is crazy and methven was probably crucial in bringing them together, if the plan is for multiple club I can absolutely see why they are going 50/50

Want them to get our takeover done before they start shopping for the next one. Worse than my missus.

Correct......what are the chances of Sartori & KLD getting announced as the proud new owners of a Uruguayan feeder club for Sunderland that they dont even own yet!

Worse than toothache this!

Really liked how he took responsibility for the Sanderson **** up when it blatantly wasn’t his fault. Imagine what Bruce would’ve said.

Steve Bruce - Mr Excuse ........ as he has always been infamously known.......would have been Ricky Sbragias fault

It seems to be the latest thing for owners to build a group of clubs across continents.

I don't really see the realised benefits of doing this to be honest.

In theory players come over etc but does it really ever come to anything substantial?

Branding, increase of merchanside sales. Growth of worldwide supporter base, tax benefits. There's a r aft of reasons.

Even just vague alliances are of benefit. They aren't owned by the same people but the 'link ups' between clubs like St Pauli and Celtic and Corinthian-Casuals and Corinthians Paulista result in increased merchandise sales.

I believe its because a lot of people went to work in Rotterdam's shipyards when ours closed.
It is a link that could be worked on though. More should be made of it.
