I recognise that writing styleExactly, this appointment will tell us all we need to know about the proposed new ownership. Its same old, same old if its the likes of Johnson et al. Lets just see what happens. I thought something would have happened today and theres still time i suppose.

I nearly had a heart attack when I seen the price of beer the first time we were over, a carton of Stella was something like 50 dollars, my brother-in-law drinks Little Creatures and that was even dearer.Bloody well does! Can’t beat Bush Chook! You must log in or register to see images

ok that's reassuring. may just be some guy who has never denied it because he likes the attention
No news, not even a glimmer of a positive exciting rumour . It’s beginning to look oh so predictable.
From talking to people who know what they are talking about. And even if it was just based on those 7 games, that makes me more qualified to assess them than you- by your own admission.
Why don't you like assumptions? You're very touchy about them. The reason I say that is that Mourinho, throughout his career, has been accussed of playing anti-football. You do know that his mantra is "he who has the ball has fear" and frequently advocated completely bypassing his own midfield.
I wish he'd ignore me![]()
When we moved over here in 2007 I was still on the Stella which would’ve been about £2.50 in the old country. First pub I went into, asked for a pint. “That’ll be $12 thanks darl”. Same as you, nearly had a coronary!I nearly had a heart attack when I seen the price of beer the first time we were over, a carton of Stella was something like 50 dollars, my brother-in-law drinks Little Creatures and that was even dearer.
Nowt bad about the Cowley’s mate only if you haven’t a clue how to build a club from the bottom like some on here and believe me we are at the bottomCook or Johnson should be nowhere near this in my opinion. The Cowleys may be the best of a bad bunch.

Like the idea of WagnerReally surprised David Wagner has not been mentioned more

It was Cloughie who said that to make Sunderland great again would take a complete unknown. He even said that the job was too big for him.Nowt bad about the Cowley’s mate only if you haven’t a clue how to build a club from the bottom like some on here and believe me we are at the bottom![]()

Enjoy it EJK, I have done a bit of travelling but WA is the most beautiful place I have ever visited, I only wish we had emigrated before I retired, another of life's missed opportunitiesWhen we moved over here in 2007 I was still on the Stella which would’ve been about £2.50 in the old country. No, now you're making assumptions. I'm implying that I've heard the opinions of people I'd trust who work within football. Based on those opinions, I've concluded that they'd be good for us.I take it by the italicised know you're inferring anyone who says different doesn't know what they're on about. Fair enough. I'll agree watching them play those games gives you slightly more information than I have access to, but I would argue that the Huddersfield fans have more information than the both of us to come to the conclusions they did.
I'd say Mourinho is pragmatic and effective and personally I enjoy his tactical approach to the game, like I do for a wide variety of other managers. I find some similarities in his approach to the game that Big Sam has got and I enjoyed watching us under him. Well, after the Christmas I did, was a bit painful at times before that.
My main concern with the Cowleys is that League one is the limit of their abilities. I've seen them being described as being pragmatic when accused of hoof ball at Huddersfield but it's the kind of pragmatic I don't want. Parky was pragmatic in his own dour and defensive way and it was painful to watch what was getting served up and that is how the Huddersfield fans described their own team. Now, I could well be wrong about their abilities and they might be able to manage at a higher level but I don't want us to be the club taking that gamble. I want us to be as certain as we can, and I know nothing is certain, that whoever we employ can get us up and keep us up. Pearson and Poyet have both done that and I suspect they would have a more extensive set of contacts in the football world than the Cowley's have.
So why respond to one of my posts then? You started this conversation today yet want to be ignored. Fair enough.
