If we go up into the championship this season how can SD fund that? He is out of his league now on L1 but the championship is massive and needs big money to get out of!

Well that's another day gone by. Match on tomorrow which takes us nicely into the American election and subsequent carnage after and before we know it we will be end of the week and hopefully the big one.

Good evening all. I have just finished a nice 10 hour shift and haven't had a chance to catch up with this thread. Could someone give me a brief summary re takeover/owner rumours? Much appreciated

That's a significant and welcome change.

There's also been national newspaper reports of other interested parties.

Various people, including myself, have had good info about progress.

Donald and Methven are nowhere to be seen at an important time for the club.

So, things appear to be moving imo.

I think Methven and Donald would be foolish for venturing North of Watford Gap such has been the reaction of the vast majority of SAFC fans I don’t think they could expect a warm welcome , I think they would be faced with hostility if they tried to return to the club or anywhere near it - they have outstayed their welcome and their is no way back . Best for all parties if the takeover is sooner rather than later .

nothing new today. Wheatsheaf says he expects an update on Thursday

Agreed.
This fan base is slow to anger, but once it turns there’s no way back.
