I offered an opinion that I didn't think anything was happening.

I was jumped on straight away, and accused of being kittens and then you I think.

What people don't understand is, we are all safc fans and want the best for the club, no matter what our opinion on the takeover.

If you're referring to me I never 'jumped on you' for offering an opinion. I jumped on you as you were making **** up about what I'd said. Happy to clear that up for you there marra.

I know they have final say/first option on a sale, but regarding investment I’m not sure. Where have you read/heard SD can’t seek another investor? As long as the loan is repaid and they get first option, then that’s it isn’t it?
Until the loan is repaid and the charges removed, they do.

As at today that's how it stands.

Problem is it won’t. The fanzines will come together again with a joint statement, SD will give another interview (probably not to barnes after what he’s done to him) and he’ll make the cock and bull I’m I’ve already said about falling at the last hurdle, talks were close, in the end the ‘party’ wasn’t the right fit for the club, he’s actively trying to leave, will continue to back PP etc etc

Then he’ll probably blame Covid and we’ll get a new academy manager announced (will be one of the boys and a cheap option), Rodwell will be announced as chairman and we’ll go into Christmas hopefully in good form and Then it will raise its head during the Jan window and so it goes

You can see it all happening

Yeah and set himself and everyone involved at the club up for a massive amount of vitriol, which wouldn't have happened if there were no rumours. Don't buy the theory at all.

I think they do have a say in investments, but I doubt they would in this case.

Basically, as far as I know, they've loaned money and it's secured against the stadium etc. Donald can't now get further investment in terms of loans because they would almost certainly be secured, and would most likely have to be secured on the stadium as well. That would affect FPP because if Donald defaulted, there's no guarantee they'd get enough money from the stadium to pay off both creditors.

Simply put if I loaned you £10 and said if you couldn't pay it back I'd take a DVD worth a tenner from you, I would have to make sure you didn't also loan £10 from someone else and secure it against the same DVD because if you don't pay us back we can't both get our £10.

In this case, however, the money coming in wouldn't be secured against the same things FPP have secured it against. Its not even secured against current TV revenue, its to be repaid from "additional" future TV money. So it shouldn't affect FPPs ability to get their money back and therefore, I think, it's unlikely they could object.

I'm totally fatigued by the whole thing now. I renewed my season ticket and have bought every single stream so far this season but have now decided not to put another penny in until we get some clarity and honesty from the club. Its a small futile gesture but its all I've got left in terms of protest.

Having said that I will probably crack at 2.59pm on Saturday and buy the game anyway.

Me too, I just have to persuade my son to do the same. That will be the hard part

If you consider that post as being 'jumped on' you need to ask Mammy for a cuddle ...

... and you weren't immediately jumped on, it was just when you repeated the same thing in post after post.

Strange how you're 'both' on here at exactly the same time after not posting at all.

Come on man, put some effort in and make it a bit less obvious <doh>

Now I'm being labelled another poster once again :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Your just continuing to prove my point.

Goodnight.

he's another bull ****ter no nowt

wasn't suggesting that at all. Just that he'd heard there was a takeover but it wasn't Fuhrman or Storey. So if the takeover was a complete fabrication then his source (whoever it is) has also been misleading him.

Hopefully for all our sakes none of the sources have!!

I've been told early November barring any hitches..that's hasn't changed just lots of finacial uncertainty going on around the edges..
Donald seems to put off investors because he’s pretending to be something he’s not.

When questions are asked his answers are too vague, too long and often inaccurate. If you’re buying third party fire and theft that’s something to be endured but if you actually want to buy something as complex and expensive as a football club it’s a problem.

Sammy Yu tried to get talks going a couple of times but couldn’t get with Stew’s patter. Ultimately the buck gets passed until someone like Mark Campbell is in negotiations <doh>

Does he put off investors? Other than FPP have any of these so-called potential buyers been real? Campbell appears to be a chancer, ZZ Pop is a loon, Micky Gray was bankrupt. None of these people have any money at all. The only real bidder was FPP and at a price SD would wear a big loss on.
