I noticed the government announced a £250 million bail out of theatres, but nothing from football. Regional theatres don't have to ask the Royal Opera House to fund them at the expense of the ROH dictating their future
But this does look like Donald has no intention of leaving. Come on RAWA do your stuff. There is nothing stopping fans turning up for home games to gain media attention. At the moment it looks like Donald has achieved the impossible and made Sunderland a run of the mill football club with no ambition whatsoever.
The Eastleigh Maestro... <doh>

Agree, we need to generate some media attention somehow to highlight the DAMAJ

So, is it the general consensus among us that there is no takeover or,if there was,it's been mothballed?
Think the consensus should be we don't know m8, my personal view is it's happening but at a pace that none of us can actually influence, he'll sell when he wants or needs to, they'll buy when the deals right for them. So as much as we'd like it to happen, it's like Christmas when you're a kid, it'll happen at the right time.

Must be great for Cornwall was looking to go there to get away from covid and it's 3 times what normal prices for hotel
Sorry off topic

Good stuff mate, If its true that Sunderland have come out to back the Premier league offer then everybody who who is currently sitting in a high level position within the club need to publicly shamed and driven out of Sunderland, simple as that, should be no where near out club
It shows that they do not have the clubs best interests at heart but are happy to sit back taking handouts to run the club whilst being happy that we will be financially on an even keel with the likes of Fleetwood Town etc. for the foreseeable future. If we think this league is hard now wait until the club no longer needs fans at all as they bring little benefit over what we already have coming in from the Premier League.

The fact the Government and the Premier League have shot this down as a viable solution (initially at least) gives us some respite and the fans groups need to do something to highlight what is going on and bring some pressure on these despicable owners who are seemingly hell bent on making us pay for their inadequacy.

I don't think he has intentionally - I think the takeover talk is genuine. I just think the unintended consequence is that its reduced the heat on him.
