No-one did, including any potential buyers. Let's hope it doesn't frighten them off.

Doubt it. Investors invest when things go to **** as the price is low and they can afford to sit on their investment for a few years or so to get a return. Worse case scenario for footy to me is two seasons worth of major disruption then two years of minor disruption, back to normal season 5.

Very interesting and informative mate. A good side-topic as we await further developments on the takeover.

I am an Ale man myself but Stella is definitely not what it used to be. It used to have a nice continental type taste back in the 90s. For UK tax purposes the ABV has also reduced over time down to 4.8%. It used to be 5.2%. Now Mythos / Keo on the other hand. Lovely lagers to drink in hot holiday Sun. UK versions (brewed under licence also) are 4.5% compared to 5% for their Greek / Cypriot equivalents.

I live in enemy territory in Gosforth and can recommend a great ale shop (with taps for takeaway) called Coppers on Brunton Park.
That's only the recommended ABV. It has a built in + or - 0.5% as well so Stella could well be 4.3% and be within legislation

I can only drink cider or German beers, pallete is fine tuned after years of living in the Vaterland. Erdinger and Herforder are my favourites, mind I've recently dabbled with some fine English real ales, still doesn't beat the German stuff though.

Yep, Warsteiner is another favourite. Serving in a schooner style glass as shown is essential.

That Coppers shop in Gosforth I mentioned stocks a number of German beers mate. I am sure M&S now stocks a few including that Erdinger too. There’s some beautiful real ales out there now, a lot of them from good local breweries such as Allendale, Almasty etc.

There’s a canny cider called Tutti Frutti you should try mate, well nice!

I’ve just ordered some Belgium stuff for me Blade, called Affligem. Supposedly really nice, but at 6.7% it’ll be like rocket fuel no doubt!

Tutti frutti such refreshment, responsible for mass intoxication in the east Midlands, even got the result that day mate.

I was just saying to my lad today. Even if we stay with PP and he ends up in the unlikely position of getting us promoted he should be instantly peddled on the day it’s confirmed.

That would be a great incentive for any manager to get us promoted to the Premier League mind
