Nick barnes has never started rumours before and is obviously reasonably well educated and understands fans feelings- if he says it’s happening it is.

Yes I would tend to believe a well respected bbc reporter and commentator and MLF over a clownshoe tbh wouldn’t most?
If it comes to who I think has a more credible source or sources, Barnes wins hands down. He's got a lot more riding on what he sticks up on the internet than anyone on a forum does and it certainly don't sound to my camel ears that he's been fed a line.

Once again, I think this further demonstrates that the information that some are getting is on the money. There is simply no way that serious talks are not taking place and are now indeed progressing. It's all good news.

Really annoying you aren’t I for some reason. I’ve already stated I believe who I’ve spoke to to be very accurate with a number of things, and I have no doubt on this either. What NB’s says is fine, but until he states his source isn’t SD or one of his cronies, everyone will discredit him as they don’t trust SD. He’s a professional and I’m just a fan. He’s leading with this news (no one else is), he’s reporting the takeover in the media (no one else is).... so I hope for all of our sakes it comes to fruition. I unfortunately still don’t think it will. Obviously people are getting giddy again, and it will be all over here for the next month, but all we can do is wait till NB’s drip feeds us his sources Tid bits here and there. As I said, the lad who told me is pretty accurate, if that changes I’ll believe him, but at the moment it’s still the same. I wouldn’t trust SD or anything he says, so don’t be upset when nothing happens

I understand that it's a source of significant frustration. Timescales and potentials unknowns always will be. Especially when it involves Safc and our club. I would be more concerned if the emotion and passion was not there anymore and it was absolute apathy!
However, it's good that others are getting very similar information to Barnes. I am also very confident in what I have said, majority on the RTG in the early days of this situation. Even when there was a major doubt the other week, I spoke to a couple in real life, to keep cool heads and wait for the weekend update then Barnes got everyone on the hook again.
We just have to be patient.
