I’ve been keeping up with this thread since pretty much the start. The news today hasn’t been great but at the same time I don’t believe this is the only group. Tom White is a Sunderland fan, and works alongside one of our board members. He’s obviously released it for a reason. Maybe KLD prefers/ knows the 2nd bidder and Methven is digging his heels in with them (which wouldn’t be a surprise). KLD/ his group pushes a story through about this group and creates a bit of a backlash, improving the hand of the credible bidders? Nobody knows anything until it’s on safc.com, but it’s a different spin on it.
I think this is just desperation, trying to attract bidders, if a sale was genuinely happening they'd have no use to leak this. No credible buyer who is in discussions would be worried by this opposing group.

I was on the train to London earlier - bumped into a bloke think was KLD (in the buffet carriage drinking McEwans export in a tin - he’d had a few). He was mumbling about bit coin ****s, salmon pants and Oxford ****ers - I thought he was upset about the driving ban but it now makes more sense.
I asked about his plan for the club and he started crying and singing ZZTop songs…

Hello. To everyone panicking, have people forgotten about Jim Rodwell very publicly meeting with William Storey shortly before KLD's purchase of shares?
They've got form for this. Nothing about these two scumbags is ever earnest or can be taken at face value. They are cowardly, dishonest, deceitful and if you STILL believe a single word that comes from Charlie Methven...have you been asleep for four years?

I wonder why Tom White is the one with the scoop on this? I wonder why not any of the journalists and outlets Charlie has used previously? It couldn't be that they've wised up to his game and he's had to find a new messenger boy? Surely not? Surely not someone who's never had a story in their lives who may or may not have become a bit chummy with Charlie...?

decent point this. If you were going to pick a “journalist” to leak to, you’d pick the one that really isn’t a journalist so won’t follow up too hard
I think the club needs to put something out to calm everything down before it goes nuclear.
Is KLD not playing poker with them here? Assuming it is Methven. As said its unlikely the EFL would back it so it backs them into a corner with less scope to get out of it.
