Would be good. Even if it's not, it's not drama. Waited so long aready, if it takes till the new year then so be it. The changes are already implemented, to a point, at the club to ensure the structure can operate in the window and beyond.

absolitely. For me the key change needed was in recruitment and management and that is taken care of.

as long as contracts are being discussed with the few players we would want to keep, then the takeover can take longer. I don’t even think it’s needed before January as much as it pains me to say it, it’s not like we are going to splash the cash.

my only worry is the Covid situation and the fact that at pretty much any point it’s conceivable the season could be delayed, and you have no idea what that would do to the takeover. Part of me thinks it makes little sense for KLD to rush, Donald is running out of options and the price is only going to come down not up.

I’m obviously massively hoping it’s done by Christmas mind!

Is this about the grant that we have been just been handed or something unrelated?

Think they have combined to pots but the loan was is separate. I have been told that we won't be taking this option. However, I think some people have taken the strong lobbying from Rodwell and Safc to lean we want the loan with restrictions when in reality, it was to ensure we get what we deserved. We have. The most in the league, as a grant.

Which is sensible as we had largest attendances and have lost the largest amount of income.
On the other hand we have the salary cap
Does the EFL know it's left hand from it's right

Cheers, Prehab.

I'm just trying to get it clear in my head what is going on. Reading through this again on the thread and it does look like the loan that we were going to knock back but it has now been handed to us as a grant so we don't have to pay it back?

EFL Cash | Not606

seems a bit strange that we still haven't made those appointments like Head of Recruitment, Academy Director etc. These are important roles and leaving it to others too long will result in burn out

Has Johnson even brought his own coaches in? Or is it still Taylor, Allamby etc?

Two different things mate. This is a grant, the other is a loan which comes with conditions attached.

If I was a betting man (I’m not), I’d guess that KLD agreed to fund the sacking of Parkinson and his assistant but no others, and the hiring of Speakman and Johnson but no others, with the understanding that he’d then be confirmed quickly and can fund the other recruitment.

because it’s clearly been delayed slightly from last week or whenever they expected it to be done, that’s why there’s been a bit of a gap.

just my gut

Agreed. If things are happening behind the scenes regardless of an official announcement then you would see these types of roles being filled surely.
