There shouldn't be need for a ****ing agreement. If a 1st team player is found to be positive the efl should automatically postpone the game. Its a risk to both teams. The efl guidelines are unclear and lacking.
There are lockdowns in place, whether or not you agree with it is another argument. The current situation is what it is, and based on that the game shouldn't have gone ahead. Any club can follow the rules to the letter, but you can't reduce the risk to zero so I don't see why any club should be investigated and potentially sanctioned as its an exceptional situation. The efl should be clear about this, not making it up as they go along.
Utter nonsense. You cant just stop playing because of 1 case. We have to get on with it.

Whatever the rights and wrongs I think it's fair to say the club is in a huge transitional stage, on and off the pitch.

I'm happy that we played last night and hope we just battle through the games. Players will get game time and get to grips with the game plans and systems.

I'd hate to see us with our famous 'games in hand' ...

... just grit your teeth, get stuck in and do your best.

He who dares wins.

How do you know its only 1 case? What if a load more of them test positive over the next few days. Then Wimbledon may have a problem - coming up to Xmas and the consequences for their families etc. It's a nightmare scenario this

he's calling me short sighted for saying this...

"The EFL are useless but they’re hardly just going to punish Sunderland for the sake of it"

So whilst he didn't use the word vendetta, if I'm short sighted for thinking Sunderland are going to be treated differently to others, that suggests people think there is a special case against Sunderland. Which is frankly silly.
I said you may be a bit short sighted in the fact that the FA having had months and months to have a workable set of protocols in place have still not done this which means if a positive test is confirmed at short notice then clubs have to scramble around to try and find out how to react in accordance with the EFL that was what I thought was short sighted I the fact that you may have thought it was just bad timing when in fact there should be a set system for clubs to follow and an understanding of punishments if needed neither of which the EFL have provided. And given the amount of time they have had to do this I would of expected better from the governing body

Which is a completely unfair position to put a club in, "you do what's best for you, but by doing that we might punish you" is an absolutely barmy position, there obviously needs to be proof of a positive test which any club should be able to provide.
I have no problem with the club choosing to play my problem is the EFL and the fact they do not have a set procedure wit advisable punishments to give all clubs clarity. In effect they are asking clubs to gamble on whether they will be sanctioned or take a risk and play and see if outbreak gets worse or they infect other teams it just strikes me as barmy. Play and risk further infections don't play and risk sanctions seems a bit daft to me

It was 1 confirmed case but 2 more were showing symtoms i think. Could be any number of players and staff in days to come depending on how much contact they have had with the players

It should be simple for the EFL, you have a player tested positive and others showing symptoms, it should be there decision to cancel it. Never mind possible sanctions and a investigation, its easy to shown them test results

Any update on the takeover?
The EFL have said it’s up to us if we want a takeover or not but warned us they will investigate if we do want one. Rodwell has asked what an investigation would mean but the EFL don’t know.

The club are worried the EFL will find out KLD is actually Storey in a mask so are just carrying on as normal.

Did they also mentioned the same rules apply to the Shrewsbury game as well?

What I can't understand is in Jim Rodwell we should have the right man to ask the right person at the efl for the correct information if he can't get it who can
Had his nose put out of joint when the EFL picked someone else over him.

Should just inform the EFL that we’ll continue to make baffling decisions which endanger other teams (like go ahead with matches after a positive COVID test) whilst the current owners are in charge.

Therefore to rectify this, accept the ****ing takeover. <laugh>

There is a virus that has killed 1.5 million worldwide, and is now in the squad. You think they want to be around each other and be iso for xmas, plus the stress of it all. Should cancel footy till after winter.
I'm sure young healthy footballers will want to get on with their lives and act responsibly around others. I think you are overreacting
