I'll be alright lads, my main worry is just that I'll not get signal to check what's happening with the takeover! I've just had thyroid cancer, it's not a really bad one at my age (36) and they've taken my thyroid out a few weeks ago so all should be okay. They did a CT scan prior to the surgery and found it had spread to both of my lymph nodes and the next step would be my lungs. Because of that they removed all the lumps they could find but because of the extent it had spread, and in case any small cells that couldn't be picked up on the scan had made it to my lungs, they've just got me to come in for a radioactive iodine tablet treatment. By all accounts it will blast any remaining cells. So I'm stuck in here while I'm radioactive for a few days and then they'll scan me again regularly over the next few months to make sure it's all been dealt with and nothings coming back. Assuming this works I should be clear and have normal life expectancy, so I'm actually incredibly lucky.

Thanks for the messages everyone , really appreciate it!

Best of luck mate, take care

ive already said on here

Pearson
Cook
Lowe
Cowley

and that’s without showing any huge ambition
I’m with you on Pearson and would’ve loved him here but I don’t think any of those 4 would work with a sd and a dof so probably the best one available for the direction is going would have to be Johnson.

Agree, but there's plenty of that going on amongst some of our so called fans
I must admit now I’ve had time to reflect I’ve probably been a tad aggressive earlier without meaning to if that makes sense. I just see all the positives and the intent and think good on them, at least they are being sensible and trying to mould our club into a success story. Christ we deserve some optimism after the last 5 years ! I’ve have nearly 50 years of ups & downs and just want something good to come out of all this, we all deserve it. Time for a few McEwans Export and maybe a glass of this Jamshed Shiraz I’ve read about on here.

No problem mate there’s quite a few a bit tetchy at the minute a couple of wins and everybody will be bouncing.

You could be right hence why we maybe onto out 3/4/5/6/7 choice.
For what’s it’s worth I think we need a director cos we are all over the place structure and development wise. If it works great if not we need a rethink quickly.

We can tell him that the new boss is Pochettino and not Johnson! And that the fans are a bit disgruntled because he too has "won nothing" .

Mind he hasn't, as have hardly any other managers. But not to put pressure on Johnson or any other manager who has relatively modest experience, but, just of the top of my napper, a humble beginning did not stop Stein, Shankly, Ferguson, Revie, Clough, Graham, Wenger, Poch, and I'm sure many others from thriving, once in the right environment and at the right time for themselves. The next big name manager is not a big name now.

Not likely to emulate any of those of course, but the lad deserves a proper chance. God only knows we have been a ridiculously ran club for long enough, so if we now start to behave like serous professional outfit, then that to me is music to the ears. For too long we have behaved like a drunken bloke, stumbling around in a dark room, pawing at the wall and occasionally reaching the light switch. Hopeless really, it was bound to end where it ended.

If we do everything right now it will take a good bit of time to get back, but at least we will be heading in the right direction, not spinning around and lurching from one disaster to a worse one.
Great post!

Correct, we just need to get behind the team now because we’re still in with a great shout for automatic this season. Hopefully new manager in the stands tomorrow and a new formation from taylor can get us an important win

Full on bed wetting meltdown from me this evening.

I just can’t shake the fact that SD & CM are still going to be here in some capacity, and can not abide the fact they’ll be holding on to make money from the club.

Anyway, I’ll back whoever comes into the club until I have genuine reason not to.

I think he'll get us promoted, then lets see how far he can take us. Today has been a momentous day in the life of this club. Somebody has grabbed this club by the balls, and has the brains and foresight to put in a proper structure to give the non-playing staff the chance to succeed. I say good luck to them, be patient and see what unfolds. This is just the start of the announcements, and I look forward to hearing the rest, particularly the new owners vision for the future.
I’ll be honest, as I keep saying I keep zoning in and out, and plus I’ve had a really busy week at work this week so I’ve not been able to keep up as much as I ordinarily would.
But I would wish anyone who managed us the best of luck, I imagine anyone who takes the job, hopes and wishes they will be the person that cracks it

I am sure these two will be managed out in the near future.
