What a fantastic Christmas present this would be. I remember when Martin O'Neill was appointed Christmas 2011.. enjoyed that one.
Everyone was over the moon when he was appointed rated a first class manager with experience, was a SAFC fan when younger . His time at the club turned turned out to be disappointing to say the least .

My next door neighbour is dying of cancer. He was due for an op last March but obviously that was cancelled.
I doubt he’ll see Christmas.
He owns some horses and today the stable girls brought his favourite mare basically to say goodbye.
His two sons had to help him downstairs while his wife stayed upstairs unable to watch.
Then this news about the takeover.
I’m all over the place.
But I’ll dry my tears and have a couple of whiskies. One for the lovely neighbours and one for the future success of my club.

Desperately sad that your neighbours have had to go through that.
Hope they find peace and strength.
Hope you enjoyed the whiskies.

Hoping this announcement gives us the right infrastructure for a good quality youth set up including the recruitment of some promising 19 and 20 year olds and a quality first team coach and under 23 coach who can get the best out of those coming through.
A decent keeper, striker and right back in the window would do us if we create a better attacking system - though losing ****e players wasting our budget may be as crucial to progress this time round. Grigg McLaughlin and Graham gone for me for starters.

We all used to play Japs and Commandos in the 1970s. Probably a bit too un-PC now. I guess the updated version would be religious freedom fighters and infidels.
We played japs and Americans and cowboys and Indians at the juniors, nowt wrong with it just mirrored things like John Wayne and Roy Rogers, but as I remember the Americans and the cowboys always won, and I was always a Japanese Indian.

Disagree with McLaughlin. He's been playing very well in Willis's position. Totally agree about Grigg and Graham who are both stealing a living. You can add Power to the list and possibly Maguire who has been very disappointing this season

I hope so mate. A telling sign for me will be how quickly we do business in January. If they get people in quickly I’ll be happy, waiting until the last minute, ending up scraping 3rd or 4th choice targets shows a lack of ambition. Get players in early, make a difference and try and climb the table rather than wasting a full month.

It’s difficult to get people in without getting people out as things stand, unless they’re 20 year olds. So I hope they decide a strategy and make it assertively clear which ones don’t fit and will be leaving or not getting game time and get into the youth market.

They loaned the club around £9m secured against the Stadium of Light and Academy of light. You dont think that loan will have high interest payments?
Maybe a couple of points above base rate, no more than that. Well within normal parameters. To clarify, the FPP investment ,according to Donald was not in the Club but in him personally. This is on the record numerous times but I to would want security so secured against Madrox and the Club assets is a normal way to do this. .

Off topic maybe, but with Kyril Louis-Dreyfus being from the continent and being a French football supporter he'll have contacts and knowledge of young up and coming French footballers which ties in with needing to wipe the slate clean how we operate as a club.
