What I'd say mate is that from my experience with people like Methven, they fall into two sets. Either a complete lack of self awareness or they are aware and don't care because they have skin thicker than a rhino's hide. I don't know Methven, but from what's been said about him, I'd say he falls into the second category. It won't matter to him what we think of him, so long as he can get what he wants from being associated with us and by extension the new owners.
Anyway, I've caught up on the thread now, and finished off half a bottle of Russian Standard to celebrate. Thank god for autocorrect!

We all used to play Japs and Commandos in the 1970s. Probably a bit too un-PC now. I guess the updated version would be religious freedom fighters and infidels.

The sentence below sums up yesterday's full statement from RR, if its passed in the next few days then I'm sure there will be announcement by the end of the week

'Sources tell us that Mr Louis-Dreyfus is now in the process of undergoing the EFL’s Owners & Directors Test, and as such it may be matter of days until a deal is complete, and Stewart Donald’s two and a half-year period in control of the club comes to an end.'

We've been told to expect some statement in 3 days. Certainly expect it to be this week sometime.
I feel better this morning than I have in a long time. Seems to be coming to an end at last
There is a massive job on for the new owners. Lets hope we get the vision realised and start an upward movement

Takeover, tyson fighting, dubois quitting. Decent weekend
 
Just thinking.....As we seem to believe the FPP money is still going to be in place once the Takeover goes through....with MSD investing in Derby prior to their takeover, does anybody know if they are still going to be involved post takeover once the Saudis take control?

Just don’t see how that can be true, there is going to be material change. Even one lad saying that the new manager will be an awful pick because Methven is still here? I just feel that their hatred for those individuals is getting in the way of rationality and stopping any positivity about this takeover.

Agree, don't think methven or Donald will have much say, my view is the new set up are ambitious and have long term plans, not flip it for a quck buck
