Someone wants our players 48hrs they’re out the door. We want someone and 28 days later we’re still wanting them
Because all our players seem to have release clauses, who the **** negotiated these contracts? I’m guessing we’re no longer the bookies favourite for promotion
We'd still have Gnonto, Joseph and James, that's a formidable front line As someone else pointed out, we could use the money to sign a proper number 10 and stop trying to squeeze players in, we could also sign a proper LB and a couple of midfield players. The club obviously knew of this release clause and that it "might" get activated. Now it's time to see if those behind the scenes have earned their money, surely we have got to have predetermined targets already in place. We have been looking to replace Summerville for £10m and looking to replace Kamara, no idea for how much so let's call it £5m We were set to offer Rutter a new contract and if you believe what they are saying, we did not want to sell so that's another £40m The right coach with the remains of this team and £55m to spend could work wonders. My huge issue is the coach though and as you say, who do we replace him with
Apparently the release clause finished at midnight last night, something about giving us time to get a replacement in, some clauses are dated some go to the end of the summer window. Weirdly on a Brighton forum they are questioning why they are wasting £40m on an average player who they don't need and can't see him fitting in with their 3-4-3 formation with a front 3 that will pick itself.
Clubs will know we're desperate and a few more mill will get added to the fees, can't see any Championship club wanting to sell to us. Think our options will be very limited .
The timing of this is horrendous unless we have someone lined up, fee agreed, to bring in. Desperately sorry he’s moving on, because he seemed to get the club. He also seemed a good presence, good for squad harmony (similar to Alioski). However if we are making £16m profit, to improve the squad it’s not bad business (if we get promoted). For me, he was a poor goal scorer and held onto the ball too long, often losing it and then putting us under pressure. Sadly imo he didn’t seem to improve in these areas, in his time with us. It now leaves us short unless we have a number 10 (and LB) lined up.
All Leeds have to do is sell high and refuse to buy high. As the window closes the selling clubs risk losing a sale and potentially a player being free or low value next window/season. Farke was wrong last night changing the team round. Players like Gelhardt are not up to standard and league one at best. A wasted opportunity to put some confidence in the first choice players wasted.
it will be ok we will buy three 17 year olds for the development team got to think of the future haven't we. fook the present Also heard we are loaning 2 players from the 49ers one that can catch a ball and one that can kick a ball. The Leeds soap opera continues dear fookin me.
I wanted to give Aaronson and Wober a chance but there was something wrong with the players last night, Firpo was so uninterested, Rodon looks nothing like the player he was last season, Ampadu didn't know whether to attack or defend, heads were down from the first minute.
This is what the club said when they sold Archie. «Whilst we understand that supporters will be hugely disappointed to lose such a home-grown talent, and a family name so synonymous with Leeds United, the move improves the club’s chance to compete for automatic promotion next season by increasing our ability to build a competitive squad within the league’s financial control regulations.» And what have we done since then? Absolutly **** all. We have sold for £140m and bought for £17.5m and Farke comming out and said our finances are very tight. We have to the end of this mounth to get it right. And we all know that that is highly unlikly because this club has only to speeds and that is slow and ****ing slow. We now need 5-7 players in just to have a chance in hell for top 6, ****ing hell!
Didn't see it but on the waccoe matchday thread someone posted during the first half that Howson's neighbour is a friend of his and told him that Brighton had activated the clause, so if Howson knew then obviously our lot knew, perhaps they were deflated. Farke had pulled him from the squad but Rutter asked if he could be in the squad, the walk around the ground applauding on his own at the end perhaps should have been a clue.
looks hes gone like it or lump it. He has a decision to stay in the Championship and play the I love Leeds card and will still loyal on lower wages or go play in the best league in the world the Prem at a decent club on higher wages its a no brainer. Anyone that doesn't take the deal needs their agent to have a serious word.
Are we in a better position than last season right are we fook. every day just sticks another knife in our hearts. its ok though they sold their shirts with Summerville Archie and Rutter on lets now slowly be ruthless and pull the rug from our feet. thing is everyone knew this was going to happen its the hope that kills us as I said earlier. but we will be fine we will buy a 1.5m player from kenya and bring his mate with him on loan.
its my day off an all. Its fookin raining and now my team falling apart might aswell go back to work for no wages Im sitting here suicidal.
There you go Wakey, that equals 116 million in euros, equivalent to £99m. Add £40m for Rutter then its £139m. All the sales the club have made since 1st July 2024. Obviously Sinisterra was agreed prior to that, but only became active once the summer transfer window opened. 3 of those who have left, we as supporters wanted to be rid of. 1 was unlikely to get any game time with us. 2 (or possibly 3 if we include Rutter) have gone because of clauses in their contract. 2 of those contracts being agreed prior to the current regime having full control
So, in the time honoured tradition of rubbishing players we’re selling. Rutter… bit sh1t really wasn’t he. Jokes aside, seemed a lovely lad and clearly a very talented player. That said, he was a work in progress, was a liability at times and couldn’t hit a barn door with a banjo when he had a sight of goal. I’ll reserve judgement on all this knee jerk wrist slitting until the windows over and we’re adrift at the bottom of the league. Back in a couple of weeks then
