It looks like its a bad day to be a Russian spy, sorry, diplomat.
The diplomatic core of most countries are spies - since time immemorial.

It will be a long time before they are invited back.
I doubt it. I think if we can survive the wave of Soviet agents throughout the Cold War we should be fine. This will blow over in the face of the next 'crisis'.
Putin probably okayed it.The Americans are on board now, as can be seen by them expelling 60 today. I think Putin will be more than slightly spooked by their reaction, more so than any other country. Its kind of like gloves off now.

Oh I think we've seen the extent of the West's anger towards the Russians, an unprecedented attack using a nerve agent. Not even in the bad old days of the Cold War did they pull a stunt like this. They need to be stopped, kept at arms length. Like I say, the gloves will be off.
Yes the bad old days only saw the Soviets occupy half of Europe and brutally stamp out anything that even sniffed of rebellion but of course this is far worse.
'The gloves will be off' meaning what exactly? You can't possibly be suggesting war, surely?
Expelling diplomats is **** all though, really, isn't it. We did a good job a few years ago of targeting their currency and that will have hurt him more.I think Putin has gotten away with all sorts for years... and now he is seeing the West bite back.

Suspect the European nations were waiting until the cold spell had gone. Russian gas supplies to Europe may well be cut off for urgent pipeline servicing shortly. Fortunately UK is not as reliant on them.He loves this ****. It will allow him to pull our strings even more and put pressure back on us ("the West"). I don't know how he will do this but it is coming.
That would be too obvious and frankly they need our gas dollars. When we ****ed them up the last time after the Crimean annexing and kicked them out of the G8 they waded into Syria which put Russia back in the mix and made them a significant player again (obviously helping his weapons supply business to Assad in the process). I wouldn't even try to second guess what they will try to pull this time. Putin knows that the US and certainly the UK will not do anything that would actually start a war so he'll happily push all the buttons he can. That's my take on it all anyway.Suspect the European nations were waiting until the cold spell had gone. Russian gas supplies to Europe may well be cut off for urgent pipeline servicing shortly. All it proves to me is that no matter how much wealth or power people have, ultimately, anyone at the top of the tree is just a bit more of a snidey **** than the rest of us. Whether it's flat out lies like Zuckerberg or cock-swinging posturing like Putin, they're all bastad arseholes who dont give two ****s about anyone else.
Notice the Russian's have now been accused of racially abusing/chanting against Pogba, Mbappe and Dembele in France's 3-1 win over there. The ever-corrupt FIFA will sit on their ****ing hands again. Like I said, no matter the organisation, the people at the top are inevitably ****s.
If someone dies over there in the Summer at the hands of those thugs FIFA will still do **** all. We all know that Russia bought the World Cup.
The Russian ambassador claiming they are concerned that their citizens have been killed in the past in London...like this is the first time I've heard them say this one. How very convenient. So now we are lying eh Russia?
Our UN ambassador hit the nail on the head by saying it’s like an arsonist turned firefighter whe then wants to investigate their own fire.
The same happened when they tried to justify the need to ‘invade’ Crimea.
