Actually FLT - you are right it was a great save, not missed
The Iranian players are getting very aggressive toward the ref. I think it was the right decision to give a pen there, not that it matters as Ronaldo missed.
Iran can play some really nice stuff! They’re playing a bit too aggressively off the ball though, can see a red card in this.

I don’t even think that was a yellow. Quite ridiculous. The Iranian was backing into him and he was just trying to get past him and to the ball.
If the ref thinks Ronaldo did something wrong, striking the player then surely it’s a red, not a yellow. I thought it was neither, but very odd decision.
I think because of VAR the referee felt he had to do something. I don't think it was anything.
The football has become secondary in the Portugal Iran game. Pathetic behaviour from both teams. Especially as there's so much to play for.
