Columbia is the team that I hope we don't meet...too much quick movement for me.

 

Struggling to see Japan losing to this Polish team, in which case that is them into the last 16. Leaving a shoot-out between Senegal and Colombia for the other spot, with a draw enough for Senegal.

 

Danish FA fined for bad behaviour of fans...throwing objects at Australian fans, disrespecting their anthem and displaying a sexist banner. Am surprised by that....or is this common amongst Danish football fans?

Great free kick, helped by a Russian defender pushing a Uruguayan out of the way and thereby shortening the wall!

 

Nearly 1-1.

Don't see Russia getting back into this now.

Russia down to 10 men. First decent team they've come up against and it's all fallen apart.

 

Well that's that then.

 

Teams from group A (where Russia are the runners up) will play group B teams....so likely to be Spain or Portugal....though Iran not out of it. Not easy.

 

I think Russia Portugal and Spain Uruguay would be good ties.
