Tbf the media were delighted to describe him as a 'top shagger' when he was in his pomp. They encouraged and rewarded his behaviour.

My main question would be why this didn't come out during Me Too, but comes out now as his work seems to be threatening the narrative, and why his accusers have gone to the media rather than the police.

I can't stand the bloke personally, and I'm as far from a fan as you can get, but something smells a little bit off with this.

repugnant

  1. extremely distasteful; unacceptable.

Strong description. What's your problem with him?

Just as I've said, I find him repugnant.

He's crass, rude, and vulgar in situations when it's obviously unsuitable ...

... but that's how he gets his laughs.

His boasting about his porno addiction, his drug addiction and the stupidity with Andrew Sachs sums the man up imo.

Forgot about the Andrew Sachs thing tbh. Fair enough, that's wasn't a good look.

Recently, I've enjoyed his YouTube channel. He's already denied any wrongdoing re the allegations in this program. I guess it will all come out in the fullness of time.

To be honest mate, if the whole Savile, Stuart Hall, Rolf Harris scenario shows us anything it's that people like that can be protected and what they do covered up by their employers when it's in their interests. From what's been said it was an open secret for years about Philip Schofield until it came out. And if you look at the DJ Tim Westwood, he's got allegations of sexual harassment, inappropriate behaviour and abuse going back literally years (including allegations of having sex with a 14 year old girl), most of them over a 20 year period he was working for the BBC. Now, I'm not accusing Brand of being like that, I'll keep an open mind and wait to see what the outcome of any investigation is, but it is possible that he's behaved badly in the past with it being covered up until now, just going on past and recent history involving others.

TBH I took an instant dislike to him as I've done with Nigel Kennedy, Jamie Oliver, James Corden and all the other professional Cockneys ...

... it boils down to personal taste I suppose, doesn't always have to be logical.

They were (media) covering up for all the peados in the establishment.
Brand, Schofield, et al get more coverage than the corrupt government who partied during lockdown and pìssed a billion plus pounds up the wall to mates for PPE that never got delivered.
But hey ho.
Like him or loath him, and I'm not a fan. But Brand has been outspoken about corruption etc with backed up evidence that mainstream media overlook .
Anything fake on YouTube gets pulled immediately.
Regardless of whether he's guilty or innocent, the pharma/tax evasion owned media have an agenda here. One interview with a victim was like a scripted and edited documentary FFS.

There's a lot of sheep jumping on the "I hate Russell Brand" bandwagon without looking at the big picture l.

Keep the minds of idiots occupied

Divide and conquer

I hate him for what I've seen of him ...

... I don't don't pay enough attention to him to be brainwashed or influenced.
