Yes I think we will but I'll be shocked if we spend more than 15 million. I reckon whoever we get will end up being a backup in the months to come (Like Maxi when Rafa bought him).

I know of him, but he rarely gets a game at Inter, how would he come help push us on for fourth?

We're a fickle bunch- we applaud the fact that the current lot do their business quietly, then moan when we don't hear anything. I'm getting a bit restless meself- maybe you're right Zingy and we won't buy, but if that's the case it's hard to see where the goals are going to come from in the second half of the season.

Presumably an upturn in Carroll's, Downing's and Adam's form, the return to fitness of Gerrard and the return from suspension of Suarez...<ok>

Honda, 25, has been strongly linked with a move to Anfield after earning rave reviews for the Russian club.

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is keen to strengthen his squad in January and give them every chance of fighting for a top four finish.

Honda is just making a return from knee surgery and hopes to be back in action in the near future.

But CSKA Moscow coach Leonid Slutsky insists his star midfielder is not going anywhere in January and remains a vital part of their long-term plans.

Slutsky said: "The boy is focused in making a full recovery from his injury. I can assure you that he will be here with us. It is not in our plans to sell him at this stage."

The 24-year-old who was playing amateur football two years ago, has already attracted the interest of Lyon and Newcastle United, with the pair consistently linked with the midfielder.

But now Liverpool are taking a close interest in Corgnet and have had the Thionville native watched several times recently.

The Reds Director of Football Damien Comolli is well aware of the player's rise up the French football pyramid and has taken note of his impressive feats in Ligue 1 with newly promoted Dijon this season.

Corgnet has regularly been amongst the goals in the current campaign, notching seven in Ligue 1 from 18 games.

Martinez name in newspapers all over in South america. and in UK too. £8.5m the price tag. the newspaper even claims that we have held talks with his agent and deal is almost done .
 
I know. But there was a lot of hype and speculation and gossip preceding the Suarez signing. Can't see anything like that happening this window.
