PATO TO PSG? AFP is reporting that PSG have agreed a deal with AC Milan worth €35 million to take Pato to Paris. It'll be €28 million up front and a further €7 million in add-ons apparently. (puts hands up) PSG are not in the CL and have money, same as us. Why are we not interesting this? 25 mil for Pato, seems good to me!

We signed Marc Pelosi ( captain of our u-17 national team sqaud) to the youth/reserve ( not sure). He is ranked in the top 100 in the world. We have some new blood coming in that is from a generation that learned from coaches who know what they are talking about, who watch footy all the time, who have a favorite player/team, etc. brek Shea is another with high hopes, omar gonzalez is going to be our starting CB soon, up top is where we are having trouble. Juan agudelo could be the answer ( trained with Liverpool for a while back during the break) but still missing that player to score us the goals. Holden would be a revelation in the middle but he keeps getting hurt.

Ya man, There are now multiple channels you can get footy games on ( Fox soccer, fox soccer plus, FSN espanyol, Gol tv, YES, etc). Clubs are getting bigger and bigger. I just think that we need some sort of incentive as well for the kids other than just pay to play. If you are good enough things should take care of themselves. I am part of the grassroots program on teaching the right techniques and letting the kids express themselves. The amount of parents and coaching dads i have had to sit down and tell them to let their kids screw up is remarkable. I think we are getting there, but our league has to get better, if we keep getting physical athletes that don't ahve the soccer intelligence, then we will continue to be of a standard of low championship/league 1 (depending on the team). Also, we were doing terribly in the Concacaf CL as we would try to just bruise teams up and couldn't compete with the technical teams, starting to get better at it now. It has been a slow process but we have the right people in the right places I feel. klinnsman is down with the reform, Claudio reyna is our overall youth coordinator, mcbride is on the staff now, so we have players and coahces who have been there and done it, seen it, and most importantly can spit it all back out to the youth. Things are looking good I feel but it is a slow process.
