I don't believe those Aguero rumours for a second. We now seem to have an abundance of central midfielders, long term problem and still is the lack of wingers.
Be patient, just because we are not being linked with wingers does not mean they will not come. Plus people need to get over this illusion that signing wingers will suddenly make Liverpool a better team automatically. Its better to have a strong, and deep spine to the team, which is what Dalglish seems to be establishing at the moment.
I just got this on my facebook page that Liverpool are lining up either Aly Cissokho or Nacho Monreal from Osasuna as alternatives to Jose Enrique for the left back position.
yeah I read that as well. Personally I think that this enrique saga is dragging on a bit, plus they value him at 15mil, which is just way too much for a player that is on the last year of his contract. If we can't get him for cheaper then I'd prefer Aly Cissokho. Don't know anything about Monreal though Also apparently Barcelona and Udinese are in talks about Bojan Krkic
I know we just signed a CM, but ........ Argentine midfielder Ever Banega has urged Valencia to confirm if they plan to sell him this summer. Come on FSG, do it, you know you want to....
Oh and if Cissokho is really only 9 mil, then what are we waiting for? For that type of quality outside back, that is a steal.
If Aly Cissokho is available for just £9m I would be well happy with that! He is said to be on the level of Contreao as one of the best upcoming Left-backs in the world. Cheaper than Enrique and much better, I also would consider that as a marquee signing. But anything could happen. I reckon Aly Cissokho, Mata and Downing would definetly see us back in the top four again. (Of course some decent squad players would also need to be signed) Ally Cissokho - 9m (Although the price seems too good to be true) Juan Mata - 25m+ Downing - 15m-25m I suspect Villa will want a big offer for Downing, if that turns out to be the case, I'd much prefer us to try and sign Gervinho or someone along those lines.
I am not really sold on Gervinho, think he would help but not really keen on him for some reason. Cissokho and Mata would make our left side so dangerous, would be unreal!
Downing £15-£25 million. I read a report that it would be less much less, that Liverpool could easily nab him for £14 million tops. As for Mata.I reckon Jeffren Suarez at £5 million would be a better option and he's ''honoured'' to be linked with Liverpool.Barcelona as it happens may have to sell to buy,and they are currently in negotiations for Alexis Sanchez with Bojan going the other way in part exchange. They may still want Cesv Fabregas and will want to raise the funds,as the reports suggest they only have a transfer kitty of £40 million. This may be our opportunity to try and nab Jeffren. Seeing as we've missed on Phil Jones,Man United fans it seems(I had a look on their board) seem to be more disappointed having signed him than we are at missing out on him.Maybe and they obviously won't admit this wish it were the other way round that they got Jordan Henderson and we got Phil Jones,as they are crying out for a midfielder.Arsenal as it seems are pretty miffed having missed out on Phil Jones. However Kenny and DC have other targets.Sahko being one and Lovren from Lyon being another,as well as Scott Dann. According to todays daily star,Liverpools bid for Conor Wickham is in the early stages of negotiation. The daily star reckons that Jose Enrique could be also still targetted,However Kenny and DC won't put their eggs in one basket, the same can be said regarding other targets such as Downing and Adam. The media do believe that this summer is going to be a very busy one,and Damien Comolli said as much in late March/early April.
In May Guillem Balague posted: Juan Mata could be one of those if Liverpool make an offer that is accepted by Valencia (€25-30milion) and if City abandon their interest in him. And at the moment, with no offer on the table from either club, that is a big if. Mata`s new contract contains a buy out clause of €60 million, but that will always be negotiable if both the player and the club are willing to listen to offers. What is clear is that Valencia expect an offer at some point and so far City and Liverpool seem to have shown the greatest level of interest in him (more visits from their scouts to Mestalla or more contact with his agent, for instance). At the moment it is a game of poker, but City and Liverpool are both under the impression that the transfer depends, not so much on the player - as they think they can convince him - but on Valencia and the final fee they will demand for him. Then he posted at the beginning of June: Juan Mata could leave Spain if a club makes a bid in the region of €18 – 22 million and the player would be unlikely to turn down the move if the bid came from a top Premier League outfit. That might happen, it might not.
Now that sounds encouraging. If available at the right price, then go for it,as he fits the criteria laid down by FSG.
I've heard it said but never found that. He marks his rumours as rumours and treats them as such, going so far as to clarify when something he's said has been taken out of context or blown out of proportion. When it comes to Spanish clubs I tend to believe him more than Sky. BTW, he says Alonso's not coming back this summer because he's a big part of Mourinho's plan.
Raaul. I've heard you've kicked up a stink with me being a mod. Rest assured,I'm going to be very fair.
As long as you don't repeat your mistake from before and make any more horrific references to Munich then you can't go wrong.
Twitter is currently buzzing that Ipswich Town have accepted a bid from Sunderland (Cheeky buggers) for Connor Wickham
