I'd still really like to go for Rodriguez, I know we have signed Fox and we hoped he would come in a double deal but the Burnley board released a statement after selling Fox today in which they stated - "In the case of Danny Fox, as with other summer departures, the offer the club received was one that the Board could not refuse." Therfore I'm still hoping we can negotiate a good fee for the lad, anyone heard anything more about that or is all Maynard now?
Does make you think about comparative finances. If we wanted to keep a player would we consider 1.7/1.8 million a figure we couldn't turn down. We don't even want Puncheon but are playing hardball. Adkins said (sorry guys he's said a lot today) that all our purchases/attempted purchases were going on before Chamberlain was sold and we had the finance anyway.
loads of maynard rumours on twitter, a few journalists and football agent report that he is on the verge of joining saints
If we've had a 4.2 million offer turned down, how high are we willing to go?
Interesting message on the matchball given to Rodriguez after Tuesday's game from the players, he got it as he scored 4 goals:

A Clarets fan on Twitter reckons it says "Bye Bye Jay Rod" - what do you think, I'm not certain?
I think the fact that Fox only found out today or yesterday that we were interested in him, and he's already signed, I'm not sure that the Burnley team would have known that he was leaving?Interesting message on the matchball given to Rodriguez after Tuesday's game from the players, he got it as he scored 4 goals:
