I wish someone would explain that to me, its weird, and just don't get it.
Extremely oddly, that thread has been unlocked, Pancho has apologised (unclearly) and hettonbots post has been edited to put you in it.
All the posts criticising hettonbellend are still gone though.
Rule number one, don't touch Roger's bot
The account runs pretty much 24/7 so there must be a group of people running it.
Why, I have no idea. Its creepy AF and it's patter is absolutely honking.
I'm guessing its an attempt to replace the many decent posters who did have good crack and did start canny threads.

Makes sense, message boards are no doubt checked by an advertising algorithm looking for metrics like engagement, clicks and arguments.
To a mindless algorithm, Hettonbot will look like RTG's most popular poster; we see a load of people getting annoyed with it, computer sees engagement.
Anyone who says things that could be processed as direct hostility gets their comment removed and a ban.
