The thing that most of them seem to be forgetting is that LJ hasn't had a chance to change the squad (other than bring in youngun's who if they don't perform from the off are ****e) and the past few weeks have had a slight interruption called COVID that may actually have hampered any planning/coaching changes that he wanted to implement.

At the end of the day we're a league 1 side with league 1 players. There's a reason that our squad aren't plaing in the premier league yet some people just don't sem to comprehend this.

Spot on. We are where deserve to be after the shambles of the last 4 years or so.. We have no divine right to beat the likes of Fleetwood, Wigan, Burton, Wimbledon, Mansfield, Wycombe etc. Some of our so called fans belittle these clubs which I despise. Just because we have a big stadium and large support means **** all when its 11 against 11 on the pitch.. I hate to say this but we are now an establlshed Division one team. And as for criticising Johnson, he hasn't had a chance with the cancellations etc etc. I despair sometimes

That’s the point though mate. A message board is about discussing pertinent points, you have to be a pretty sad bastard to get kicks out of that sort of attention. I come on here and there for news mostly and I have never, no matter how bored I have been, decided to “**** it, I’m going on RTG to wind some ****ers up”.

We can joke about stuff like this, and sometimes despair but you know what I'm starting to think more and more lately that all this stuff over the years about safc fans being difficult and demanding from previous managers isn't aimed at the home support who are the real fans IMO but it's aimed at the likes of rtg and social media so called fans who post absolute ****ing dreadful ****e

Im pretty sure that any opposition fan that reads RTG will think that we are a bit arrogant etc etc. Im sure the vast majority of SAFC fans aren't.

Having said that, I still make the occasional post over there, its entertaining, no dispute. But, **** me, there's some nasty pieces of work over there

I get alerts when I start a new Google search.

They're quite often 'Johnson no better than Parkinson' type of things. When I click on them it takes me to the Echo or Chronicle and quotes from 'supporters' on RTG or Twitter.

The papers quote them as if they're Alex Ferguson instead of some dullard with a grudge.

It's lazy journalism but we're stuck with it.

I avoid getting involved in the oneupmanship but do read most of them. If you can step aside and just view from afar it is entertaining at times. But annoying as well. Occasionally I have bitten, mainly post match on a saturday night, after a few beers, which is a bit crap

years of reading forums has brought me to the conclusion that a lot of fans have no idea how to 'view' a footballer, for instance, bally got slated over there a long time ago until people began to point out what he actually brought to the team...in more recent times M'ville got labelled with the '****e' monicker yet many missed his excellent positional sense that stopped a hell of a lot of passes behind the defence and runs into the box...a player does not have to have the ball at his feet to be 'useful' and many will not see what is in front of them.

yep, the young lads we have in the team right now are making mistakes, this was pretty much expected by most of us...at the same time, however, they provide a 'no fear' type of play by being direct that gets us up the pitch and defences on the back foot, diamond has been quite well marked recently and the team are not relying on him as much which can only be a good thing, yes they will have dire games as any player does but '****e?' never.

One of the things that your comment tells me is that the majority who comment like that rarely attend matches. I know we can't at present because of covid, but there's a massive difference watching a game live compared to on TV. Watching a game live in the ground let's you see much more about movement off the ball, organisation without the ball, tracking back, covering space and pace. Different sport all together, but watching athletics on TV doesn't give you the same idea of actually how fast track athletes are running until you're actually there in person. The same thing applies in football, but more so in how players read the game, including how the opposition look to deal with someone.

It is mental like. I know I've been moaning about that Mary Hinge knacker (think it's just him and Vauxie I've got on ignore) but I'm sure I heard he's a grown bloke with bairns. I can sort of understand a 16 year old virgin mistakenly thinking a ****e wind up persona is funny, but a fully grown bloke? I mean he probably goes to work all normal, talks to the kids, helps out in the house. Then thinks "right, time to type like a ****ing moron and wind people up online". I just don't understand it at all.

For me these places are like a pub when you can't be around other fans, I'll go in, have a bit crack about football, maybe some off topic stuff, but it's always me . If people meet me off here they'll find I'm exactly like I am here. Why the **** would I force myself to put on an act? And if you start one, it's ****, and everyone tells you it makes you sound like a boring knacker, why the **** would you keep doing it? Last thing I'd want is people repeatedly telling me I'm a boring ****er. And as Smug says, he's actually capable of a decent discussion when he wants, so why the ****ing act. It's absolutely mental

There was a Mag on there called The Fish who acted out the persona of an upper class toff. He'd use impressive sounding words, often inappropriately, and kept it up for years.

I caught him out one day, and he dropped the act. When I asked why he'd stopped with all the pompous drivel he said that it had 'served it's purpose' ...

... the sad thing was that he actually believed there was a purpose.

The usual suspects already bitching that Johnson is just another Parkinson,others who are still saying that KLD is just Donald's puppet and that nothing in the way the club is run is going to change. Most of the people posting this ****e are those who scorned there was a takeover happening at all.
Now I get that as a group of fans we're all very miserable and low in our current position,but I just see posts like those as unreasonable,unnecessary nonsense,which,of course,can't be successfully argued against until time has taken its' course.
