I remember a time when 'characters' were enjoyed, even respected, and people took them with a pinch of salt.

All of the threads about the 'old days' involve the characters who stood out for one reason or another.

Lads would willingly make themselves a figure of fun as long as people had a laugh.

There's a tendency, these days, for people to relentlessly attack anyone who's a bit different which I find pathetic.

Most of the posters on RTG could just stop posting and no-one would ever notice ...

... but people talk about Hank whether he's there or not.

IMO he's worth 10 of the dreary f**ckers who constantly snipe away at him.
I remember poster like hazey, magswonnowt, lappy, posa, blep, streaker.
A place you could relax and enjoy.

Its a shadow of its former self

As I posted that I was thinking of Blep, Maximus, and a lad called SozMarra who flew under the radar but was always spot on with his info. I really miss the lad because he really knew his stuff.

I have the feeling that few of the repetitive posters like Jardine, Fletch, HKP, SVU, etc have the love of SAFC that those lads did.

It's become a forum where 'happy clappers' are relentlessly derided and all for the love of their club ...

... I'm glad I supported us before the internet age when we all felt like one big family.

Best part is they hardly ever attend an safc match either

Yet staunch fans like myself ambushed by non attenders you can tell which they on the match day thread

I honestly never thought I'd see the day when decent Sunderland supporters were ridiculed for hoping for the best.

It's not just ridicule, it's really spiteful and worse than anything the Mags dish out ...

... I don't mind that because it's their job and I have Mag family.

But scum like Jardine, who love to see us fail, are the lowest of the low.

he’s a walloper, loves misery and to see people unhappy.

Jardine made the RTG Alan Nixon thread all about 'Reiver' and killed it.

He's now doing the same with their CEO thread despite it being a thread about the new CEO.

I've not been on there for months yet the weirdo is still obsessed with me, even stalking me on here now ...

... another Sunday with his kids wondering why their dad is pounding away on the internet <doh>
Makes a change from the usual websites he frequents :emoticon-0172-mooni

How does that make the curry illegal?

In my stalking/trolling numbskull's eyes, because I don't have a work permit, it shouldn't be supplied on a commercial basis, which it sometimes is.

I haven't posted on RTG for more than 15 months and he continues to either tag me with "Illegal Curry" or refer to it/me in his posts - the last occasion was only last week!

Some people seriously need to get a life. Obviously doesn't realise that your wife being Thai sorts that.
