I had that problem multiple requests for email that never came through(not in spam either). Had to use a different email account in the end which worked 1st time. Must be an issue with some email account settings

Billy Shankly was talking out of hisI rarely post after a defeat or when things are particularly negative, I always understand people are pissed off, we all are, but the anger and vitriol from some is awful and something I can’t handle because, whatever Bill Shankly said, it really is just a game and I never did football to get angry like that. Maybe I’m not a passionate enough supporter

Cheers Joe. I've looked at the registrations and they all seem to be going through ok. It's possible the emails might be going into spam folders?
I've also checked hotmail.co.uk and hotmail.com as I can see the query above, all those emails are going through too, last time those two addresses were used was Thursday.
I've also checked banned emails, there was one variation of banned email that i've removed, it previously was used by spam bots - removed as a temporary measure just to be sure it wasn't lagging over to genuine hotmail email addresses.
So from my side everything looks fine, with in excess of 300 registrations for 'Sunderland' having been passed through the gateway since 23/09/19 - 45 others unspecified team, totalling 345. If there are any names people know have not been verified, if they send me those names, I will look at the accounts and verify them myself.
ps. During the same above period, 22 x hotmail.co.uk addresses were used and the majority validated.

I think it may take a few days to become effective.
But I've stopped getting anything through.
Disabled through one of the emails and it seemed to work immediately

Due to the forum default preferences, you'll have the 'Watch this thread' option ticked by default as will be the email notifications. So when you reply to any thread, even after you unwatch it then you'll get emails again. If you do a quick reply at the bottom of a thread, you don't see the watch thread box is already ticked, you only see the box when you click 'More options' button and it loads a reply page.
Read through this post as it tells you where to disable the automatic thread watching and email notifications etc.
