I don't think so, everyone is quite clearly impressed and chuffed by what a cracking player he has turned out to be. If I could show you some texts between myself and mates during games!!!
The fact is though, if he goes up front and is starved of service then he will struggle to score. I for one won't blame him for that though, I know where the reason will lie.
Your view is very different to the ones I am critical of though. While you can be critical your views are far more balance.
For me, Martial is the threat from the left. So moving him centrally means we have nobody who is currently going to be supplying him. Of course he's shown he doesn't need anyone else on occasion but its a huge ask of a 19 year old.
Look, if Herrera had scored v Palace and Lingard v City we might have won both. These were both brilliant chances and Lingard was very unlucky, Herrera fluffed it badly. Martial certainly created the Herrera one and was it Schneiderlin who played Lingard through? It wouldn't change the fact we need to attack more and both the players and van Gaal need to address the issue. I don't know why you think I believe we are playing fine, up until the attack gets it, we are good but then it falls apart.
But if players aren't taking the few chances they do get, it doesn't help things either. This is on the players as much as the manager.
