Your view is very different to the ones I am critical of though. While you can be critical your views are far more balance. For me, Martial is the threat from the left. So moving him centrally means we have nobody who is currently going to be supplying him. Of course he's shown he doesn't need anyone else on occasion but its a huge ask of a 19 year old. Look, if Herrera had scored v Palace and Lingard v City we might have won both. These were both brilliant chances and Lingard was very unlucky, Herrera fluffed it badly. Martial certainly created the Herrera one and was it Schneiderlin who played Lingard through? It wouldn't change the fact we need to attack more and both the players and van Gaal need to address the issue. I don't know why you think I believe we are playing fine, up until the attack gets it, we are good but then it falls apart. But if players aren't taking the few chances they do get, it doesn't help things either. This is on the players as much as the manager.
I believe the chicken came first not the egg. You think it's the other way round. As for people jumping on Martial, you may or may not have noticed but I'm pretty much a lone voice in not slagging Rooney off for his own loss of form. I certainly wouldn't do it to Martial.
I also happen to agree that right now Martial could do worse than play from the left. But that means Rooney plays at centre forward and the general consensus is that it's all his fault and he should be dropped. I do not agree with that, I really think he should stay at CF, Martial plays off the left and Mata is at ten, with Herrera on the right. I grudgingly suggested it's time for Rooney to have at least a break though.
Were not a million miles away in our views tbh. I suggested Herrera to the right a while back too, we don't have a natural winger but Herrera is a clever player with a quick brain. Though we did play him there one thing I spotted was his crossing isn't great, but then, who on the squads is right now. Got a feeling Martial will start up top tonight though. I believe he's started the last 2 as the lone striker and Rooney has played at 10.
Whether I'm joking or not is irrelevant as you read everything written as deadly serious. You actually believed that I thought Anthony Martial looks like Al Pacino. At times I wonder whether you're a Liverpool fan running a parody account.
What have we had a meltdown about? Some of us think Rooney is ****? I think his first touch is terrible though I also agree our style of football isn't making his job easy.. Best bet is to sack LVG hence I've made a thread about it.
Actually, different of opinion = meltdown. The title of this thread is irrelevant to said meltdown. It's all about van Gaal and Martial.
In other news, currently in the gym being mesmerised by the arse on this girl on the treadmill. If she doesn't stop I might not even see tonight's game.
I have thought about this Chief and the problem for me is that LVG's football is not helping Rooney at all, and the reason why I feel it will only compound his demise is because Rooney is 30, age is against him and we have another 18-20 months of this football. I can only see Rooney getting worse as a player but it's not necessarily all his fault. Age and time and the pheelososphee of our manager is against him.
Herrera dropped again, Lingard replaces him this time. If he has any sense he will be off at the end of season
That's how I see it also. Which is why I've cut Rooney a good deal of slack, I think he's a victim of both his own versatility and the current 'system'. It doesn't work for him, not all his fault at all. He's not just suddenly ****, as some would have us believe.
I NEVER mentioned the price In fact on numerous occasions I pointed out I didn't give a 5hit about the price. In fact I corrected you everytime you tried to insinuate (like you are now) that I had a problem with the price. My concern was two-fold - firstly the need for a 20-30 goal a season striker, and secondly the clamour by some to compare him to Henry. The problem with you UIR is you make sweeping statements about other people's opinions which you limit to your own dense opinion. You are incapable of a deeper understanding of the game or the layers of someone else's opinion. As many have pointed out to you, you see things as black or white. So if someone doesn't see things as your "white" then in your head they must see everything as "black". What you fail to understand (and I fear this is because of your IQ - no joke) that people aren't like you, they have the capacity for abstract thought. You don't. I could talk to my 9 year old sat next to me and he would understand what I'm saying better than you.
Yeah, he could well be pissed off but of he's any sense and takes a look at the two players picked at centre midfield he'll know his time will come soon enough.
