I can't explain 'new challenges' any more? He's won everything at United so he may want to try and win trophies elsewhere. And what do you mean where else would he be a starter at? He'd get into most team in the world and certainly every team in the Premier League. He's not exactly a 'starter' at United either judging by his Premier League appearances this season.
How much do you think Rooney is worth? If you think 30m+ then Ronaldo is 80m+ Don't think United will be shelling out over 60m on 1 player and lets face it, Ronaldo might have been keen to work under Fergie again but Moyes? I can't see it though that don't mean it's not gonna happen.
New trophies in Spain maybe? Or Germany? The only clubs he would be willing to go to would be Real, Barcelona or Bayern which he wouldn't get into the starting team. If he's unhappy at occasionaly being placed on the bench at Utd, why would he move to a club where he would start on the bench even more? He'll either have to accept a more bit part role which is something he isn't happy with at Utd or go to a lower standard of club than Utd, reducing his chances of winning things anyway. I just don't understand his motives.
He definitely would at Real or Bayern. I also didn't say that not starting would be the reason for him being unhappy, you basically did!
gomez or mandzukic for bayern, benzema or higuain for madrid. You forget he's still a brilliant striker.
Rooney's technique and short passing game were never great, not suited to Bayern or Real or Barca Drogs, you are hilarious
yeah, Gomez, Mandzukic, Benzema and Higuian - the pass masters. **** right off you moronic ****stain.
now now, behave you little angry plastic man. The amount of times rooney fails to control a pass to him properly and the amount of times he failed to make a simple short pass are beyond counting over the last few years but it gets papered over by the occasional brilliant pass and overhead kick and or some very good finishing. Sorry but you are wrong leonidas, you are wrong now go somewhere and have an angry plastic ****.
There wouldn't be any bitterness from me, provided he doesn't go to one of our rivals. We good some good years out of him and we all knew he wasn't the champion of maturity from the start. I can see Wayne's career fading pretty soon anyway, so now might be a good time to make the most of whats still going to be a decent selling price.
You're a ****ing paddy Liverpool fan. Never call someone plastic again, especially those who support their locals sides you thick bellend. You have still failed to grasp my point, playing Rooney as a striker. He's a better passer than any of the ones I mentioned, and a far better player all round. You truly are the definition of '****'.
I'd argue that all those are as good, if not better than Rooney atm. Plus, when was the last time he played effectively as a lone frontman? He is still a good forward, granted, but works much better as a front pair with someone (which Madrid and Bayern don't do) or behind the striker which then means he has to push out Ozil and Mordric or Muller and Kroos.
Amazing! He has gone from world class to someone who's control isn't that good. Never thought he was world class personally.
Benzema aside, Rooney is twice as good as those three. He's a versatile game changer, very hard to come by.
Exactly. I don't even think we're giving him stick, it's just with resignation that he's at it again so I won't lose a second sleep over him or it. To be frank he's insignificant by comparison to other things that are currently happening so if he wants to leave so be it. With Fergie going I happen to think it's probably a good time for him to also. He's a cog in the wheel, part of the team. Nothing we won is down entirely to him and we would move on without him without a blink. And that's coming from someone who rates him massively.
All of them are better goal scoring strikers than Rooney. The only thing that Rooney has over them is as you say versatility to play other positions, so then he isn't playing as a forward again.... Which means he being used in other positions and with Madrid/Bayern it will be, more likely than not, to accommodate missing players/impact sub.
Agree with a lot in here that his form this year has been at best, patchy. If he feels he's too big for the club, then move him on, and the message from Moyes will be a clear indication that he really is in the SAF mould. £30 mill in the coffers, and ronny back in the fold, means we can keep Chicarito. Although I had high hopes for Nani and Ando, both have failed, so move them on too, and let the new manager find some fresh talent for a fresh start.
he won't leave, he'll properly be persuaded to stay one more year and then decide to stay or sign a new contract next season. Mark my words. He is still important and our key man, a player who drives us forward. The best all around striker in the league. let's stick with him, lets not turn our backs on him guys. I still believe in him, i believe in Wazza he will still be here next season. one of Moyes's first task is sorting our Wayne, hopefully Moyes persuades him that he is still in his plans and i think he will get persuaded and end up staying next season.

If Rooney does go ( I wouldn't mind either way) and it looks like we have lost out to Bayern for Lewandowski, who is the new striker to bring in? Don't say Ronaldo because im not sure how it would be funded , looks messy with the whole Nike involvement, or even if it's anywhere near true.So here are a few names Benteke - grab him now coz his price is going to sky rocket, but more of a future potential buy. Falcao- great player in Spain but untested at PL level but at £40/£50m im not sure. Higuin - seems to want out and has also done it at times in CL. Gomez - seems surplus to requirements at Bayern, but he has major experience in the big games. Di Natale - amazing again for Udinese and would bring that level of calmness to our frontline (rumoured to want a new challenge). It's all hypothetical really, Rooney, Moyes, Cash will all be deciding factors, but it's worth a thought.
