So Rodwell hasn't got the bottle to stick around in the English leagues, because he knows what's coming the minute he sets foot on a pitch.... The big girls blouse
I’d never put Cattermole in the Rodwell bracket. At least, despite him being ****e 5 out of every 6, he put a shift in last season and didn’t hide. Catts wants his money. I have no issue with that. My issue lies with the fact that his now agent was the bitch that gave him the deal he’s on!!
It's not his money. That money is there to be earned. If he doesn't want to earn it he's a ****ing ****. Paul McShane and Nyron Nosworthy used to put a shift in. I wouldn't want to pay then for **** all either. If players let their agents act like that then they're just another part of the problem.
Have to agree to disagree fella. I basically agree with what Stewart Donald said as far as Catts money goes. If someone says “I’ll ay you £5000 a month fir the next 5 years” then says “actually I’ve changed my mind” you’ll want your money. Donald said he is willing to earn it if a new club can’t be found. That’s how I read it anyhow
All I heard was that his agent said he wanted to leave but didn't want to leave a penny behind. We give players like Gyan **** for going and earning their money elsewhere. I think we should give far more **** to players who want to get paid to not play for a team. ****ing disgusting.
Maggie is just being a typical agent. Donald has already said we wont let him go unless we get a fair deal for him. I'm 99% sure that if Catts is still here at the end of the transfer window he would be willing to play for us. Its just his twat of an agent trying to play hard ball. Fortunately, I think we have the staff at the club who are equally good at playing hard all now. This Hill bloke seems like he knows what he's doing after listening to the roker interview last night.
Bang on. He hasn’t earned future income. He want us to pay him up and let him leave so he gets paid twice? **** the lad, any loyalty and good grace he’s had he’s burned with that. ****ing prick. If he wants his money he can stay and play and his career is done as he will be too old to get a good move in 3 year.
That's how I read it mate. "he doesn't want to leave a penny behind?". So your contract gets paid off regardless of how long is left and you join another club and get paid again??? Do **** off.
Aye **** the kid. In that scenario, if we are paying the prick, then I would indeed hoy him with the youths and end his career. Club captain to Rodwell the second? I’m glad the owners outed the pondlife. He’s been dog **** for 2 years anyway.
I fell asleep listening to the podcast last night. From what I heard though, so long as Donald is being honest, I have never know such transparency at any club. Loving these new owners. A man for the fans.
Agreed. To add to this, all football clubs should blacklist player and agent combinations who behave like this. I think it is extortion
It's a shame that Cattermole's legacy at Sunderland is going to be tainted by this because of how he's let his agent behave. Could have left with some dignity but no, **** dignity and reputation if there's a chance of money.
Aye I do enjoy it, but as Bri has said previously we shouldn’t expect it to last and be permanent, some things in business we don’t want or need to know as fans. Breathe of fresh air right now though.
I know but could they not, do any of them have the capacity to think for themselves or place any value on anything other than money. Sick to death of the bunch of them. Hopefully the new lads being brought in want more than just that, it's certainly what we're looking for from what the owners are saying.
Aye. Lose the first half dozen games and he'll put on a tin hat and seal himself in an underground nuclear fallout bunker
You know mate, if you watch his demeanour, he looks a very self assured and confident fella, hopefully he will face up throughout, just stick to the playing stuff, the **** we care about. We want to know the clubs financially ok after the worries, but let’s be honest, all we really give a **** about is having our pride back in what should be a magnificent club. It starts on the pitch.
I wonder if any other club is having to deal with such scenarios? Or is it Rodwell infecting others and their agents with the idea
Probably, but not as many of them Also the negativity of dealing with this is offset by football success (which we obviously haven't had for years)
