Well we've offered £12 million for Borini and tried to buy Alonso ...... neither player has said 'yes' which is hardly the fault of the club.

Besides we don't know whether this is a loan or a buy so no need to kick off is there?

Truth be told I think not getting Borini is a blessing in disguise. Better ways to spend that much money, surely?

Alonso I'm a bit heartbroken about. Think he's an unbelievable talent. Still, hearing good things about PVA so won't complain.

tbh before we were linked to PVA i was thinking we should see if hes available but i didnt realise he was still at chelsea might be abit easier to get him from them than from a dutch team cause he would be first choice there, hes quick too love quick full backs and i as i said on another thread, has a gigantic throw trait on fifa another option of set pieces tbh

Double edged sword though mate, what happens if we sign him for £6m, he's utter gash, and then we're stuck with a dud? The club would get pelters. Look at Jozy, a section of the fans are pissed off about that, and he didn't even play that badly in my opinion.

Loans should come with a confirmed fee & a purchase clause otherwise the supporters should be informed to the contrary.

I'm happy with loans as long as I know what the crack is.

I'd take Ki on another season long loan as he could be dropped, more easily, if his form dropped.

Pay £5 million for him and Poyet would be under pressure to play him in every game.

He'll not cost £6m and he's certainly not gash.

Well I just thought with AJ, Giacch, Mavrias, Molberg K and Watmore in the squad that there are many areas more in need. CB and CM worry me and both fullback positions are short. If he's a top player though obviously I'd welcome him

With the Alonso deal we wouldn't go up 1m so that says to me money it tight.

You're one of the first to say the papers talk ****e, you can't use their rumours as facts when it suits you.

Close but not close enough were his words. I think we wanted to chuck Diakite at them and they weren't having it.

I wonder if Poyet's intending to bring a little gem back from Portugal ........ not in a 'Bobby Moore in Mexico' sense of course <ok>

Mavrias, Molberg K and Watmore are a million mile from the standard of those two though fella, the gulf is huge. Certainly not good enough to rely on if one of main lads get a long lay off. I'd be surprised if they've all gone to Portugal.
