Any reports of him being injured or is he good to go on Saturday?

He isn't injured, Strachan left him out for tactical reasons. Easy to see why; Robertson is immense going forward but he does still need a touch of improvement on his defensive game and against a team that's fresh from beating the world champions 2-0, Gordon's obviously gone for a more experienced head to plug the line.

How long can we hang on to this kid for. If he keeps performing the way he is, all the big boys will come after him in the not too distant future

As long as we want. He has a long way to go before he is ready for the big boys if at all.

He needs to work on the defending side of things for starters and his error @ Newcastle will have been noted.

Let the kid develope first.

There was a reason why Strachan benched him for the Scotland game in Poland as another example.

I loved his reaction after Diame headed the ball in the net, jumping round like a child at Christmas.

He would be thinking of his assist bonus John.

Not a chance, even though he is excelling, you would not realise his true worth yet. He has a 3 year contract, so why would the club selling him in January?

Agreed John. Not a chance of Robbo going anytime soon for a variety of reasons. Sadly the modern day fan thinks otherwise after a few games of anyone who starts well.

If Robbo keeps improving then January 2016 may just get more interesting.

Strachan is a genius, keeping him fresh for Saturday.

Brucie had a word before like.

As good as he is, he was definitely at fault for the first goal with his wayward header. I was sat amongst the Arsenal fans in the corporates and they were really impressed with him.

He's definitely a wing-back and not a left-back. Perfectly suited for an Arsenal type side. Given the over-inflated prices in today's market, I'd not let him go for less than £12m. Obviously he's not really worth much more than half of that amount, but don't tell Arsene I said that.

Regardless of where he goes in time, we need to unearth one or two of these every season to progress. Being brave and bringing through a couple of younger players and selling for top dollar should be our business plan for the next 3-4 seasons
